Vhaelyra sighed, as Aegon set the crown on her head.

"It will all be okay." He spoke softly, leaning forward and kissing her cheek.

"As long as Alicent isn't there to question every decision of mine, then it will." Vhaelyra spoke, gently taking Aegon's hands.

"I will be there, standing next to the throne with grandfather." Aegon gently squeezed her hands.

The doors opened, and Aemond entered Vhaelyra's chambers.

"May I have a moment with Her Grace?" Aemond asked.

Aegon looked between the two, waiting for Vhaelyra's response. Vhaelyra nodded, and he sighed softly.

Aegon gently kissed her hand. "I will see you in court."

He then left, the chamber doors closing.

"What do you need, Aemond?" Vhaelyra asked, turning to the mirror, messing with her dress to distract herself.

"Does it have to be this way, Vhaelyra?" Aemond asked.

"Your Grace." She looked to him. "That is what I told you to address me by."

"We are married, Vhaelyra. People will start to talk if we are no longer seen together." Aemond set his hand on his head.

"You are the one that choked me, Aemond. This is entirely your fault." Vhaelyra shook her head.

"Because you killed a child!" Aemond yelled. "Luke was innocent. He did not deserve to die."

"Helaena was innocent! Lucerys took your eye. Helaena did nothing. To any of them. And Daemon ordered her death." Vhaelyra yelled, tears welling in her eyes. "She was kind. She was innocent. And Daemon killed her. Everything I did was to make Daemon suffer, how I suffer."

"He was a child. I had forgiven him for the incident with my eye. We were children." Aemond sighed. "I lost my temper. I will admit that. But at least I did not kill a child and claim it to be revenge."

"You act like you are somehow so much better than I am!" Vhaelyra yelled, now standing in front of Aemond. "Tell me. If I was not there, would you have been so forgiving to the poor boy? Would you not have pursued him?"

Aemond stayed silent.

"That is what I thought." Vhaelyra walked away from him. "At least I would not attack you when I heard of your wrongdoings." She turned to him. "Now, if that is all, I must attend court today."

Aemond nodded. "Your Grace."

Vhaelyra left her chambers, a weight lifting off her chest when she was no longer around him. She sighed, walking down the hallways to the throne room.

She stood outside the door, closing her eyes and sighing. Preparing herself for what was about to happen.

She opened her eyes, nodding to the guards.

The doors opened, and she walked in, her eyes scanning the room as she walked to the throne.

"Queen Vhaelyra Targaryen! First of her name, Queen of the Andals, and the Rhoynar, and the First Men! Lady of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm!" The guard called out. "Hail Queen Vhaelyra!"

Vhaelyra climbed the steps to the throne, pausing for a moment.

She turned towards the smallfolk, taking a deep breath, before sitting down on the throne.

"Let's have the first petition, Lord Hand." Vhaelyra spoke, looking around the room.

A man nervously stepped forward, bowing slightly. "Good morrow, my, uh, Your Grace." He spoke.
