The Nerd and the Know-it-all (Hiro x reader)

Chapter 3- Refresh

"(Y/N)! Can you help me with Baymax? My healthcare codes aren't working." Tadashi asks kindly.

You get up from my seat and plop down on Tadashi's roller chair. You take a look down at his coding work and find an error. "Ah. Here it is. You put a bracket semicolon when you should've put a bracket colon."

"Gah! Coding is hard. There are so many different things and rules! How do you keep up with it?"

"I had to code a website for my mom when I was young. My dad had taught me some basic ones 'cause he was a computer programmer. I kind of just, fell in love with it I guess. Oh, and I have a photographic memory. I guess that also helps a lot." You explain while typing some codes into Tadashi's computer. "Alright. I fixed it up. Ready to test Baymax again?"

Tadashi smiles and nods.

"I'll be right back." You announce, holding your ringing phone.A quick look at the caller ID showed it was Hiro. You exit the lab and walk down the hallway.

"Hello? Hiro?" When did I even give him my number?

"(Y/N)?!" He shouts on the other line.

"Yeah?"

"Um, I have question."

"Okay...?" I question.

"Can we start over? Like, completely? Forget the bot breaking and the teasing."

You smile, your heart fluttering. "Sure. I'd like that a lot."

"Great! Meet you in my room in five minutes!" He plans.

"Hiro! Wait, I'm at SFI-" Too late, he hung up. "T... okay then, time to run! Wait!" You run back to Tadashi's lab and open the door.

"Hi I'm Tadashi and this is the... Eighty-fourth test of my robotics project-"

You interrupt him. "Tadashi I gotta go Hiro wants to talk with me. Bye! See you at supper! Good luck!" You say in one single breath.

"O-okay... Bye?" He responds, confused.

You bolt out the door and run down the stairs. Pushing open the doors and zigzagging through the people in the streets. You look down at your phone, one more minute.

Come on, come on.

When you spot the Café and you bolt inside and run up the stairs.

"(Y/N)?!" Cass asks.

You quickly let out a hello and continue running.

Once you make it to Hiro's room, you accidentally tackle him. "Hiro!"

You both tumble to the ground, "Geez, (Y/N)."

Once you realise that you've fallen on top of him, he says, "Well this is a pleasant change." He laughs.

"So, uh, why'd you need me?" You ask.

"Aren't we gonna start over?" He reminds you.

You get up and offer him your hand to pull him up. "Oh yeah! Okay." You release the warmth of his hand and brush off your shorts and (F/C) shirt.You take your fingers through your (H/L) (H/C) to comb it out. Hiro extends his hand out and you take it,  shaking it lightly. "Hello! My name is (Y/N) (M/N) (L/N)."

"My name is Hiro, Hiro Hamada."

"Pleasure to meet you, Hiro."

"Oh, the pleasure is all mine." He says with a smirk, "So tell me about yourself."

"What do you wanna know? I'm not that interesting."

"Oh I doubt that." He smiles, his eyes searching yours.
