Chapter IV: Mates

A/N: sorry it took so long, between physical therapy, school coming up, and my job I've had barely any time to write, let alone the writers block I tend to get. But here it is, the next installment

Yin's POV

Within 10 minutes dr bane had arrived, however 10 minutes was all it took. Yang was getting worse, his fever had reached an alarming 112.4 but he was shivering, he had started to vomit uncontrollably and slowly was turning redder and redder.

Dr. Bane walked in and pushed me aside, feeling his forehand before barking out orders to get some ice water from the fridge and some purple tablets from his bag. I frantically ran downstairs to the fridge, filling a tall glass full of water and ice then ran carefully back upstairs and grabbed the purple tablets, which read wolfsbane,

Wolfsbane, that's not good, I thought to myself.

As I handed him the bottle and the glass he looked at me sympathetically, making my stomach drop as he said his next words.

"He's pregnant, however because the wolf that did this isn't his mate his body is trying to reject the fetus, that's what the wolfsbane is for, if the fetus is successfully rejected hopefully nothing bad will happen, but..." He stops mid sentence, glancing nervously at yangs face.

"But what?!" I demand, praying nothing bad will happen to him.

"The genes of the wolf that inpregnated him are very strong, and he's having problems rejecting it, and if he can't do it successfully, or if he can't do it at all then one of 2 things could happen, either he could have this child and his inner wolf will disappear into oblivion, leaving him human, or his inner wolf would fight it, and once it realizes that he can't win he's kill yang."

"How do we help this go successfully"

"He needs his real mate to give his energy to him, to help fight this."

"And how do we find his true mate?"

" I gave him a rare species of wolfsbane, when he awakes the first word he will say is the name of his mate, though you might not like it."

"Why?!"

"I can't say, but you need to be here for him, he should wake up in about 3 days, you can't leave his side for more than an hour at a time though, in case his body starts to die."

An with that seraph bane was gone.

I sat on his bed for hours on end, changing his rag every 20 minutes or so. He would start to look better and I would leave to shower, when I returned he would look like he did originally, however my presence would calm him down. I was starting to figure it out, but it wasn't until he awoke that my suspicions were confirmed.

"Yin?" He says, I'm so glad he's awake that it doesn't register in my mind what Dr. Bane had said before he left

"I gave him a rare species of wolfsbane, when he awakes the first word he will say is the name of his mate, though you might not like it."

I WAS HIS MATE!!?!
