violet had decided she wanted to forget about the whole thing. a whole week had passed since then and she just wanted to forget. wanted to move on and start fresh.

she was currently on break at the coffee shop she worked at spaced out sipping on her iced coffee. she wasn't thinking about anything specifically, just thoughts coming and going. liv had been trying to get violet to come over, she had been missing her cousin and had been getting nothing but "i'm fine" from her. violet wasn't the type to get into detail about her feelings, but she always let liv know whether or not she was okay.

And she was okay, for the most part. the breakup sucked but it was truly like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. the words she said stung, but violet really tried her best to not let it bother her too much. at first, it was the only thing on her mind. she'd overthink everything the girl had said and really question if it was true.

was she hard to love?

would nobody really be able to put up with her?

"hey" violet heard a quiet voice from the side of her.

"oh hey gracie, how you been" violet said with a grin looking up at the girl.

"i should be asking you that, i haven't seen you in forever and liv was worried and that made me worried, you okay what's been going on?" gracie asked concerned while she sat in front of the brunette.

violet sighed looking down at her cup "it's just stuff with my girlfriend, well ex-girlfriend now but i'm fine so no need to worry" she said looking back up with a small smile. "but uh, how have you been? any singer stuff your working on?"

gracie smiled, "singer stuff? really?" she said laughing at the girl. "what, is that like not the term?" violet said back with a bigger smile and a light laugh.

"no no yes singer stuff i am working on singer stuff i was actually on my way to the studio to record a few things"

"do you think now is a perfect time to listen to your music?

"mhm maybe not" gracie said tilting her head and pursing her lips.

violet smiled, she was happy to finally be out and talking to someone. she enjoyed her time alone but she needed this, she was glad gracie was here.

the two sat there continuing to talk until violets break was over. gracie was really easy to talk to, and violet could tell how genuine of a person she was. she really could not take her eyes off of her. she's always thought gracie was pretty. from her eyes to her smile, violet couldn't find one thing about her that she didn't like. she could tell gracie was gonna play a big part in her life, but she didn't know how exactly.

"so you guys are done, forever like i'll never ever have to see her again?" conan said excitedly, him and violet were talking about the breakup on livs couch. olivia didnt even know they were there. she had given violet a spare key and violet took advantage of that. she texted conan early in the morning to meet her there and he wasted no time.

"yes conan never ever i'm done with her and i should've been done with her" violet said messing with his hair "im glad violet it was getting really hard to pretend to like her" he said trying to move her hand from his hair.

"pretending? it was so obvious be so serious dude" violet laughed still trying to mess with him.

"what the hell are you guys doing here" olivia said coming down the stairs. "we wanted to surprise you livvy i missed you!" violet exclaimed. "she's lying we want you to cook us breakfast" conan said from next to her in a nonchalant tone with a straight face.

violet pushed his head as she got up to give her cousin a hug, "so what are we doing today liv? i was thinking it's time we all go out tonight, i need a drink" violet said leaning on the counter with her arms crossed.

"oh yes please we need to go out i've been needing a reason to look cute" conan said from the living room. "i'm actually so down let me tell gracie, what time are we thinking?" olivia said grabbing her phone.

the three excitedly continued to talk about their plans for and what they were gonna wear out that night.
