violet and gracie were currently at a dog park walking gracie's dog; weenie. who violet had met the night before and couldn't leave alone the moment he was in her sight. she was instantly obsessed since the moment she saw him coming down the stairs of her apartment, to say she was excited was an understatement. the sight of seeing violet so happy and lovey with her dog made gracie's cheeks hurt from smiling.

the two had been throwing questions back and forth getting to know more about each other as the morning went on, "so where's your apartment at? do you live with anyone?"

"i don't live to far from here actually, i share an apartment with some stranger i worked with before i started working at the coffee shop a few years back." violet replied picking up and throwing the ball weenie had brought her.

"tell me more about this stranger" gracie said crossing her legs then raising an eyebrow making violet roll her eyes. "chill he's not actually a stranger" violet laughed. "he's a nice dude i promise, i was crashing at livs place till i was able to afford something on my own and he knew that and offered me a place to live because he needed help with rent and his previous roommate had moved back to his hometown." violet said turning her head to look at gracie who nodded telling her to continue causing violet to smirk and take a breath before continuing.

"his name is miles, he's my age, he's a student at ucla, and he has this long term girlfriend and they are ALWAYS doing the deed so i stay out of the apartment as much as i possibly can" violet smiled "must i say more officer?"

"gross" was all gracie managed to say before getting up, grabbing weenie, and walking away.

"HEY WAIT UP YOU ASKED!"

"hermione and draco would never get together! in any universe!" violet exclaimed, they were currently walking back to gracie's apartment and the topic of harry potter came up. violet; being a big fan went on a whole rant about the series which brings them to where they are now.

"it's like a total enemies to lovers typa thing!" gracie defended.

"you're crazy, actually crazy. he full on bullied her! that's not romantic or something you could just look past!" violet practically yelled, she couldn't believe this conversation was really happening.  "read the books gray ron and hermione are meant to be. they did movie ron dirty and i'll never forgive them for that" violet finished having both hands behind her head like she'd never been more stressed in her life.

gracie laughed "i know, i know i just wanted to see you lose your mind. we should totally watch those movies together, what do you think?" she said smiling at violet. "it's a date gray" violet said winking and throwing her arm around the slightly shorter girl who tried to hide her blushing face.

"speaking of dates and dating-" gracie started

"nobody said anything about dating" violet interrupted playfully causing gracie to push her away. "like i was saying" gracie continued "when are you gonna get back out there? where is your head at, how have you been?"

violet took a deep breath, she knew at one point gracie was gonna ask her how she was doing. a part of her was dreading it.

"im okay for the most part. im over riley without a doubt but she really ruined my self-esteem, i really believe every bad thing she's ever said to me and i know it's not true but i just can't seem to get her annoying voice out of my head. that's just how i know im not ready to see anyone new. i don't want to ruin something that could be good you know?"
