My little son had a classmates gathering yesterday, it is a wrap up celebration on their grade 7. His classmates had a plan to watch a movie and invited their teacher of class. Unfortunately, in the cinema only horror and animation movie were screening and his classmates prefer to watch the horror movie rather than the animation movie.
My son didn't want to join them, he's extremely introvert. And I said to him, " You should to join your friends, it's a wrap up celebration with your classmates, mommy will accompany you." and he got angry, "No! I don't want to join them! If mommy joins them, please! But i don't want!
Mommy had no idea that the movie genre was horror, I'm scared mommy!" I chuckled, he's like me, too scared of ghosts, If I see him scared, It is like I'm looking at the mirror 😂
" You just need to close your eyes during the horror scenes !" I suggested.
My son laughed," Mommy, it's a horror movie, the movie is filled with horror scenes from start to end, do you want me to close my eyes for almost 2 hours? It's better that I sleep at home, or play games which makes me happy! "
I remember what his teacher said that my son is really introvert. I try to persuade him. "It's not about which movie you watch , but It's about togetherness. In the next grade you will apart from your classmates and you have own the class. So listen to Mommy please."
"I'm not mommy! I don't care about togetherness, I prefer playing games rather than watching a horror movie!! No no no!!!" He said no and crossed arms gesture.
I never gave up before I could persuade him.
""Okay handsome, how about pocket money? Today mommy offers you 20 times more than your usual pocket money, so you must join your classmates, or you will not get a pocket money for next 2 weeks!! " I said to him and went out of his room.
"It's not fair mommy!! It means that you force me!!" He speaks loudly.
I came back to his bedroom and said "I don't care!! No offers!"
When I left his bedroom he suddenly ran and hugged me from behind, "Okay, I'm down! I'll join them but mom, may I ask for something?"
"Okay, let's tell mommy."
He cosily asked with a cute smile, "may I have a top up free fire game?"
I didn't want to argue with him anymore so I immediately agreed to his request.
Finally he joined his classmates and having fun all day long.
And night come over. I went to bed early and in the midnight there was hands that hugged me tightly and said, "Mommy, I can't sleep, I'm too scared, the horror movie is still in my mind and on my sight." Why did you force me Mommy?"
It's funny when someone is scared of ghosts, in real life they do not exist, but still scary. And I'm one of them who is scared of ghosts 😂😂
