Her pov

I got ready to go to the Taragi mansion for a meeting about the upcoming event since we sealed the Chaudhary's deal. I made sure to dress nicely this time to avoid getting another lecture from my boss.

I had breakfast, lovingly made by my mom. Midway through the meal, she glanced at me and dropped the bombshell: "What do you think of the boy whose photo I sent you?" I rolled my eyes, choosing to ignore her probing question. She shook her head slightly and questioned, "Are you even listening to me?" With an annoyed look, I replied," Maa, late ho raha h main jaa rhi hu"

(Mummy, I'm getting late, I have to go)

Grabbing a paratha, I dashed towards the gate. As I hurried away, I could still hear my mom's voice echoing behind me.

On the main road, I hailed a rickshaw headed for the Taragi mansion. During the ride, I couldn't shake off my mom's inquiry. The thought of marriage lingered in my mind. Sure, it's something I'll have to consider eventually, but the idea of marrying someone I barely know didn't sit right with me. I muttered to myself, "hey Bhagwan, mere liye koi alex volkov jaisa ladka ni bna kya?" These novels have set my standards unrealistically high.

(Why couldn't I have a guy like Alex Volkov from my books?)

Interrupting my thoughts, the rickshaw driver announced, "Madam, hum pahuch gye." Startled, I paid the fare and headed towards the Taragi mansion, mentally preparing for the meeting ahead.

( madam, We have arrived)

I must say I look amazing as I am wearing a crisp white button-down shirt paired with tailored blue pants. The white shirt is neatly tucked into the pants, giving a polished and professional look. The blue pants appear to be well-fitted and reach down to the ankles.

As I approached the huge gate, two guards stopped me just before I could speak

As I approached the huge gate, two guards stopped me just before I could speak. Suddenly, a voice from behind commanded, "Let her in." It was Mr. Taragi.

The guards opened the gate, and I entered inside. As I glanced at him, I noticed a change in his appearance today. My subconscious nudged me, hinting that he looked handsome, but I quickly dismissed the thought, muttering to myself, "This grumpy old man looks different, not handsome."
