She reached her house and waited until her boss's driver left. Once the coast was clear, she sighed with relief. Grabbing her bag by the strap, she swiftly approached the front door. Luckily, she had a spare key for emergencies, so she quietly let herself in. Glancing into her parents' bedroom, she saw they were still asleep.
With a smile on her face, she tiptoed upstairs, gently opening the door to her room. She placed her bag on a chair and checked the time—it was already 11:30. Quickly changing into a comfortable loose t-shirt and shorts, she finally relaxed and sat down.
Divyanshi entered her bathroom, freshened up, washed her face, and settled down to do her skincare routine. She adjusted her phone near the sink and video-called her best friend, Bhumika, but there was no answer. She tried again, and this time, Bhumika picked up, still lying in bed.
Divyanshi teased, "Jala de bro, isko jala de. Phone Use nahi karna toh rakha kyu hai?"
("Burn it, bro, burn it. If you're not going to use your phone, then why keep it?")
Bhumika replied with equal sass, "Din bhar kahaan mar rakhi thi jo abhi yaad aa rahi hai? Time dekha hai?"
("Where were you all day, it's only coming to mind now? Have you seen the time?")
"Arrey yaar, aaj late ho gaya tha aane mein," Divyanshi explained.
("Dude, I got delayed in coming today!")
Bhumika sarcastically quipped, "Tu aur tera mahaan boss. Tere paas muh nahi hai kya? Bolte kyun nahi ki tere working hours khatam ho gaye hain? Logon ka 9 to 5 hota hai, tera 12 ghante ka office, adha din office mein hi rehti hai."
("You and your great boss! Don't you have a mouth? Why don't you speak up that your working hours are over? People have 9-to-5 jobs, but you have a 12-hour office job and spend half the day stuck in the office!")
"Sab baniya khandan mein paida nahi hote na behen, chhod na yeh sab," Divyanshi brushed off the remark. "Waise pata hai tujhe, kya hua?"
("Not everyone is born into a business family, sister, let it go," Divyanshi brushed off the remark. "By the way, do you know what happened?")Excitedly, Bhumika asked, "Spill the tea, b!tch. Koi ladka pakad liya kya?"
("Spill the tea, b!tch! Did you got yourself a boyfriend?"
Annoyed, Divyanshi replied, "Teri har baat meri shaadi mein hi kyu aati hai?"
("Why do you always bring up my marriage in every conversation?")
