Aster's Pov:

As I sat there, my mind swirling with questions and emotions, I felt a mix of surprise and confusion upon learning that Theo was adopted, not the biological son I had assumed him to be.

It was a revelation that sent a shockwave through me, making me see him in a completely new light. I remained quiet for a few moments as I processed this information, my gaze fixed on Theo's face while a thousand thoughts raced through my head.

I felt at a loss for words as the reality of Theo's revelation sank in. Looking down, I muttered, "I...don't know what to say."

Theo responded with reassurance, "You don't have to say anything." He then began speaking, "I'll explain everything."

I listened intently, paying close attention as he went into each detail, leaving nothing out.

Theo's pov

I could still recall that day vividly. Papà called me and Arthur into his office, causing a sense of unease to wash over me. I knew something big was coming.

Papà's voice rang out firmly, "I have made a decision about the future of the company."
Arthur sat up straighter in his chair, his eyes filled with anticipation. I noticed how eager he was to know what Papà wanted to say.

"I have chosen Theo to take over the company when I retire."
I could see Arthur's face fall as he struggled to control his anger.

Arthur's voice filled with anger, "Theo?! Are you mad Papà? You're choosing this pathetic orphan over your own son?!" He stood up abruptly, pointing his finger at me when he said the word 'orphan'.

I clenched my fists tightly, my knuckles turning white as I tried to maintain my composure, gripping the arm chair of the sofa I was seated on. I fought to keep my emotions in check, not wanting to escalate the situation further.

My voice remained calm but firm, "Just sit back down, Arthur."

"You don't get to tell me what to do Theodore, you're nothing but a worthless piece of shit in this house! Papà just can't see it yet. I'm capable of running the restaurant, I have plans for it in the future! You can't just give it to him!"

I watched as Arthur stormed out of the room, shaking his head in disappointment.

"Arthur!" I called out, quickly following him as he stormed out of the house. He suddenly came to a halt as I stood in his path, preventing him from going further.

Arthur's face was twisted with anger as he turned to face me.
"What do you want?" he spat, his voice dripping with venom.

"Don't you think you're overreacting?" I asked cautiously, still trying to diffuse the tense situation. Arthur rolled his eyes, as if my suggestion was insulting to him.

"How dare you!" he exclaimed. "Can you not see how unfair this is? Papà chose you, an orphan, over me, his actual son! It's ridiculous!"

"I can do whatever I want!" Arthur retorted, his voice getting louder with each word. "And I'll keep reminding you that you're not a true De Leon! You're just an outsider, a convenient choice."

I took a step closer to Arthur, my voice rising with conviction.
"Maybe Papà chose me because I'm more capable of things, unlike you. You only care about power and money. They built this empire with their own hands, and now they're choosing me because they know I can take care of it. Whereas you... They're afraid that if they let you rule it, you'll drive it into the ground."

My words seemed to finally push Arthur over the edge. Anger flared in his eyes as he lunged at me, fists clenched. I dodged the attack, quickly stepping to the side.

"You think you're so much better, don't you?" Arthur hissed, his face twisted with hatred.
Without warning, he charged at me again, punching wildly. I ducked and weaved, trying to avoid his attacks. He managed to land a strike on my face, I hissed before landing a punch of my own on his stomach. He stumbles backwards.

The sound of our scuffle had caught the attention of the guards standing nearby, and they quickly intervened. They pulled me away from Arthur, forcibly separating us. Other guards tried to aid my brother, but he angrily shook them off and stalked away, still smoldering with rage.

Cassandra suddenly appeared, sprinting towards me in her heels. "Theo," she exclaimed, concern etched on her face as she noticed the bleeding cut on my lip. "What happened?"

"Let's just go." I ignored her question as she followed me towards the car, I waited for her to get in before driving back to our house.
