"Stella retains!" Michael Cole exclaimed. "Stella has been on fire ever since winning both titles. She is the face of the woman's division."
Stella rolled out of the ring and grabbed her titles. She'd been working left and right ever since she won the titles. Between working house shows, live events, Monday Night Raw, Friday Night Smackdown, and doing press work, she was exhausted. Obviously she'd never show it. But she'd be lying if she didn't say she looked forward to going to the bus after shows and enjoying some down time.
"Where are you going?" Stella asked Liv as she seen her friend run through the hallway backstage.
"Gotta catch my flight! Love you, see you next week!" Liv ran as she blew kisses.
"Have a safe flight!" Stella laughed.
She walked outside where all the buses were lined up. Walking in she immediately started undressing to take a shower.
"Stell, I got us dinner!" Cody entered and locked the bus door.
"Thanks! I'm just gonna take a shower real quick!" Stella yelled back.
Cody went to grab a water, he glanced at the bathroom door. It was slightly open. He looked away. Then looked back. Stella's back was facing him, she took off the top to her gear, exposing her bare back.
Cody gulped. Over the course of their friendship from the very beginning, they'd been in every situation possible. Countless times they had to share hotel rooms and dressing rooms. He's helped tie her gear, glue rhinestones onto her shorts and pants, tie her boots on for her. And she's done the same. One time they had a house show in a small town, with no dressing rooms in the little arena. Stella and Cody were in a corner while she held up a towel while he tried getting on tights. Which he did unsuccessfully, resulting in Stella trying to pull them up with her eyes closed. Stephanie actually caught them, they both panicked explaining it wasn't what it looked like. She believed them thankfully and it became an inside joke between the three of them.
But he didn't know why this time it was different. He couldn't stop staring, he felt wrong for doing it but he didn't care at the same time. He was even more confused why all of a sudden he couldn't take his eyes off her. I mean it's Stella. His best friend. Of course when he met her, he did think she was an attractive woman. That was one of many reasons why he first came up to her during NXT training. And he'll admit it, over the years she had gotten more and more beautiful. He did stare at her probably a little too long when he made his return at Wrestlemania, so let's be real here. Stella never failed to take his breath away.
He had been standing there for so long he didn't realize she already gotten out of the shower. He didn't even hear the water turn off. She came out in a little towel with her skin still glistening wet.
"Cody?"
He finally snapped out of it. "Uh yeah?"
"Did you hear what I asked you?" She chuckled brushing her hair.
"Sorry what did you say?" Cody cleared his throat and sat at the little booth table.
"Did you get my smoothie?" Stella finally came out of the bathroom in pajama pants and a tank top.
Cody gaped for a split second before snapping back to reality. "I did."
"And did you drink half of it like you always do?" She sat across from him, opening up the food containers.
"Did you expect less from me or what?" Cody smirked while they ate.
Stella smiled. "How many times do I tell you just to get your own?"
"Taste better when it's yours."
She rolled her eyes before rubbing her shoulders.
"What's the matter?" He furrowed his eyebrows.
