Ron's POV:
"Already ahead of you." He said through the phone.
I look at the phone in shock. "You are?"
"Mhm. I was following Tototo when the accident happened and watched as he got abducted. I'm even tailing the them now. The kid Tototo saved seemed to have been an actor. They were trying to get Tototo to fall for their trap, and it worked. I've been hiding in a crate next to Tototo's unconscious body. They seem to be taking care of him properly. Treating his wounds, giving him the nutrients he needs, but he's still asleep. From what it looks like, they're using him as hostage, but who are they trying to real in? It doesn't make sense."
I sighed in relief. I was glad Spitz was there with Toto, which means I can have a clear trail to where he is.
Should I tell the police? I know Amamiya-kun and her colleges would be great help, but then it would come to me having to explain how I got this information. How can I explain this?
I change into some clothes and stay on the phone with Spitz trying to think on how to get help. "Spitz, send your location once you have reached the area they intend to hide Toto at."
"Alright~ I know how much Tototo means to you Ron-kun."
We hung up and I could feel my cheeks warm a bit. I knew Toto was an important person in my life. But for it to be said aloud by someone else...
Without Toto, I would probably be murder and unable to sleuth. I hide behind Toto like a puppet master playing with their puppet, but that's not what it feels like at all. It's nice to be with him. His soft, curly, light brown hair. His chocolate brown eyes that sparkle whenever you look into them. His selfless, caring personality-though that's why we're in this predicament in first place- his everything.
I could feel my face redden at the thought. When did I pay this much attention to Toto? Why is my heart beating so fast when I think about him? Why do I want to hear him call my name?
When did I start to have these feelings? Could it be that I like Toto?
