Chapter 5

Thursday
knock knock
Lexie: hmm (pulls the sheets over her head)
Josh: lex (walks over to her and lightly shakes her shoulder)
Lexie: what (whines)
Josh: i need you to get up and get ready because we need to go shopping for fashion week in New York
Lexie: who's we?
Josh: me, you and Gabi obviously
Lexie: hmm it's okay I think I'll stay here while you guys go shopping
Josh: sorry princess not an option start getting up and I want you downstairs in thirty minutes I am making sausages and eggs
Lexie: can I have a waffle instead of eggs? (Looks at him with puppy dog eyes)
Josh: fine but only because I don't want to fight this morning (stands up and starts walking out of the room) get ready
Lexie: okay finee
(Josh leaves the room and Lexie walks out of her little space room and goes to hers)
Gabi: did she wake up?
Josh: yeah I told her do be down in thirty minutes
Gabi: okay I am going to get dressed while you make breakfast (gives him a quick peck on the lips)
Josh: okay
(Josh starts taking out the ingredients and puts the pan on the stove when his phone starts ringing so josh grabs it and answers)

Josh: hey Bryce
Bryce: hey man how are you?
Josh: good and you?
Bryce: good we wrapped up filming yesterday
Josh: so does this mean you can come back to LA now?
Bryce: yeah I have a flight later tonight so I was wondering if you can pick me up at the airport? I can take an Uber but my car is at your place anyway
Josh: hm yeah I think I can pick you up what time do you get here?
Bryce: seven
Josh: okay after we pick you up we can go out to dinner if you are down?
Bryce: yeah sounds good to me
Josh: alright see you later man, text me when you land
Bryce: alright thanks josh, later

(Josh puts his phone back in his pocket and starts cooking breakfast)
Lexie's pov
Once I got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around me I walked over to my closet and decided on wearing a hot pink tank top with a pair of Jean shorts and my white sneakers, then I just put some hair product in my hair to enhance my curls and give it a shape and I was ready to go. I grabbed my purse and walked downstairs to see josh finishing the sausages, so I walked over to the freezer to take out my waffle and pop it in the toaster.

Josh: can you set the table please? (Looks at Lexie)
Lexie: yeah sure
(walks over to the drawers and starts grabbing utensils and putting them on the table along with the plates, orange juice and coffee then walks back over to the toaster to grab her waffle just as Gabi walks into the kitchen)
Gabi: good morning (smiles at Lexie)
Lexie: morning (sits down at the table)
Scene change
Jaden's pov
For the first time in a while I woke up on my own without any alarms or interruptions and it felt great. I stretched and got out of bed and started walking to the bathroom to do my business and walked downstairs to make breakfast for Q and I.
Scene change
Lexie: hey joshyyy
Josh: yeah...
Lexie: can I have my phone back please?
Josh: if you behave today then I'll give it to you tonight deal?
Lexie: but joshhhh
Josh: do you want me to take that option off the table completely?
Lexie: no (looks down and takes a bite of her waffle)
Josh: good then maybe you can have it back tonight
Lexie: (sighs) okay
Fifteen minutes later
Lexie's pov
We were done eating and josh and Gabi went to do the dishes while I sat on the couch watching are you the one but it was only for like twelve minutes because they were finished with the dishes, gave buddy her food and water we left the house and headed to Beverly Hills mall. As we were driving I realized that Jaden also got invited to fashion week in New York as well as the same event as josh..I don't know if I'll be at the event, most likely I'll be stuck in the hotel room if the place is twenty one and over but I wonder how them being in the same room is going to play out. Are they going to just ignore each other or would they at least say hi? Would Jaden find someone to go with or is he going to go solo? Ugh I hate this I already don't like the idea of josh and Gabi so I can't even stomach the thought of Jaden being with someone else because I just want them together again. I was finally pulled out of my thoughts as josh pulled into the parking lot and stopped the car.

Gabi: are you excited for New York Lexie?
Lexie: uh yeah mainly for the fashion shows and some of the network parties, how about you? This is your first fashion event in the US right?
Gabi: yeah and I can't wait it's going to be so much fun
Lexie: yeah I am sure it will be (smiles)
Josh: so what store should we go into first?
Gabi: I don't know Lexie any ideas?
Lexie: hmm Bloomingdale's that's the only place that has really nice dresses and are my size
Josh: good point okay let's go there
Lexie's pov
We walked into Bloomingdale's and went to the young adult section and started browsing through the dresses until Gabi called me over.

Gabi: what do you think of this dress for the pandora party? (Holds up a hot pink corset lace up mini dress)
Josh: too short
Lexie: Joshyyy
Josh: nope too short that dress barely goes down to your thighs
Gabi: I think it'll look cute on her
Josh: yeah.. no
Lexie: ugh really?
Josh: yeah
Gabi: fine (puts it back and keeps looking) Ooo this one's cute (pulls out a rose patterned dress)
Lexie: too bohemian for my taste but you should try it I think it'll look cute on you
Gabi: you think?
Lexie: yeah (smiles)
Gabi: I'll keep it in mind and keep looking
Josh: well I am going to go look for the suits but Gabi seriously nothing below the thigh for lex alright
Gabi: sir yes sir (jokes)
Josh: and you behave (looks at lexie)
Lexie: yeah yeah go look for what you have to look for (waves him off and keeps looking at the racks)
Scene change
Quinton: hey I am going to go hit the gym and then the skate park do you want to come? (Puts his plate in the washer)
Jaden: yeah sure let me go change and I'll meet you down here (goes upstairs and changes into a white tank top with some gym shorts and sneakers and comes back downstairs)
Quinton: ready? (Hands him a water bottle)
Jaden: yeah let's go (takes it and follows Q out of the house) you want to still drive or do you want me too?
Quinton: I'll drive there and you drive the way back
Jaden: okay
(Quinton and Jaden get in the car and start driving to the gym)
Quinton: so how did the date with stass go?
Jaden: good she's a cool girl but I want to take my time before getting into anything serious
Quinton: yeah I get that
Jaden: what about you? Any girls catch your eye?
Quinton: (laughs) nah not really
Jaden: good, relationships are complicated
Quinton: you can say that again, how's the album going though?
Jaden: good I have a few songs recorded but that's about it, how about you?
Quinton: I have a few I am working on but nothing I think is worth releasing
Jaden: well when we get back from the gym you can show me what you have so far and I'll help you
Quinton: okay thanks J
Scene change
(Gabi is in the dressing room trying on a long pink dress and comes out to show Lexie)
Gabi: what do you think?
Lexie: it's perfect
Gabi: really?
Lexie: yeah you look beautiful in it Gabi and I know josh is going to love it on you (smiles at her)
Gabi: aww thanks Lexie (hugs her)
Lexie: your welcome now that we have your dress let's keep looking for mine
Gabi: okay
A few minutes later
Gabi: oh my gosh Lexie you have to try this one on!! (Hands her a white beaded halter dress)
Lexie's pov
I wish I could have said I didn't like the one she picked out because than that would mean we are actually bonding but I can't say that because the dress she picked really was beautiful. It was white and had crystal beads that wrap around the neck and outline the top of the dress in a simple but elegant way if that makes sense and she had a pair of matching heels in her hands too.

Lexie: I love it!! (Takes it from her) now let's just see if it fits
Gabi: it's a small so it should
Lexie: I hope so, what size are the shoes?
Gabi: a five is that too big?
Lexie: no that's literally my size how did you know?
Gabi: good guess honestly (shrugs her shoulders)
Lexie: well I'll try both on and then show you
(Lexie walks into the dressing room while josh walks over to Gabi and wraps his arms around her waist)
Josh: find anything?
Gabi: yeah it's a beautiful pink dress and Lexie is trying on a white one right now
Josh: okay
(Five minutes later Lexie walks out of the dressing room and does a little turn in front of the mirror)
Lexie: what do we think?
Josh: it's very pretty
Gabi: yeah you look perfect
Lexie: really?
Gabi: yes
Lexie: alright then this is the dress let me change and then we can go pay for it, what about the shoes?
Gabi: how do they feel?
Lexie: good
Josh: okay then we'll get those too
Lexie: okay
Lexie's pov
I changed out of the dress and put it back on the hanger and then put on my previous outfit, grabbed the dress and shoes and walked out of the dressing room. Five minutes later josh had bought the dress and we were walking out of Bloomingdale's.

Josh: okay where to next?
Gabi: I have to go to Sephora for some makeup products
Lexie: can I walk over to hot topic? It's literally right across from there
Josh: yeah but here take your phone (hands it to her) call us if anything happens and we'll meet at the food court in an hour alright?
Lexie: deal, thanks josh (starts walking to hot topic)
Lexie's pov
I walked inside hot topic and the first thing I saw were Jaden's posters on the wall and right next to his were mine which was something I am still not used to seeing if I am being honest. I walked around the store but nothing really caught my eye until I saw a cute cow stuffed animal that unfortunately for me was like on the third high shelf and I couldn't reach it. I sighed and jumped trying to reach for it but as I was coming back down I bumped into someone, I immediately turned around to apologize and was met with a taller boy with curly hair and the prettiest blueish green eyes I have seen.

Lexie: I I am so sorry (blushes out of embarrassment)
?: (lightly laughs) it's okay, what were you trying to grab anyway?
Lexie: oh uh it's stupid don't worry about it, I changed my mind about wanting it anyway (shrugs her shoulders)
?: are you sure? I can get it for you
Lexie: if I tell you, you can't laugh at me okay?
?: okay..
Lexie: I was trying to get the cow (points to it)
?: and you thought jumping for it would work?
Lexie: well I don't see any stepping stools do you?
?: good point (reaches up and grabs the stuffed cow and hands it to her)
Lexie: thanks...
?: Matt
Lexie: thanks Matt, I am Lexie by the way
Matt: nice to meet you Lexie
Lexie: well I should probably go pay for this but thanks for grabbing the cow and not laughing at me (blushes again)
Matt: no worries, I thought it was cute
?: (another boy that looks like him walks into the store) yo Matt are you ready to go? Nick won't stop complaining about getting the new camera for twitch and I am this close to punching him if he doesn't shut the fuck up
Matt: yeah I got what I needed Chris calm down (rolls his eyes and looks at Lexie) I better go but hopefully I'll see you around
Lexie: yeah okay, thanks again
Matt: your welcome
(Matt and Chris walk out of hot topic and Lexie walks over to the cash register and pays for the cow)
Lexie's pov
After buying the cow I walked into Aeropostale, forever twenty one, and Hollister but didn't see anything that caught my eye, then I looked at the time and saw that I only had twenty more minutes before I needed to meet josh and Gabi at the food court so I started walking over there and when I got there I sat down on my phone and just scrolled through my phone until josh and Gabi walked over to me.

Josh: ready to go?
Lexie: yeah, how about you?
Josh: yeah
Lexie: alright let's go
(The three of them left the mall and started driving back to the house)
Josh: Lexie you have some time to chill but around five get ready to pick up Bryce and then go to dinner
Lexie: okay
Scene change
Jaden: damn I haven't worked out like that in a while (takes a big sip of his water)
Quinton: you should start coming with me more
Jaden: yeah I think I am going to do that because man I am out of shape (takes another sip of water)
Quinton: what are you going to do after this?
Jaden: Travis texted me to meet him at the studio so I'll drop you off at the house and then go there
Quinton: okay
Scene change
Lexie's pov
I was sitting on my desk upstairs writing lyrics in my journal since josh had been called to a last minute meeting with bar stool and Gabi was filming tiktoks. She asked me if I wanted to film with her but i respectively declined and came up to my room but if I am being honest I am not getting much writing done because the only thing thing that was on my mind right now was the boy from hot topic and how hot he was not going to lie. He was wearing a simple black shirt but with the chain necklace and the rings he was wearing he's one hundred percent my type.. ugh lex what are you thinking you will probably never see him again and on top of that you just got out of a relationship my conscience decided to intervene and it was right so I shook the thoughts of Matt out of my mind and decided I wasn't going to get any writing done but I still had time to kill so I quickly changed into some work out clothes and walked upstairs to my dance room. I grabbed a water bottle from the fridge and turned on my radio and the first song that came on was she's all I wanna be by tate McRae.. fitting given the situation with Landon so i decided why not channel that feeling and improvise so that's exactly what I did.

Travis: so have you told Lexie about Landon signing on? I want to get her in for a studio session soon but I don't want to blind side her
Jaden: (scratches the back of his head) honestly no I haven't, she's with josh this week and even though I saw her yesterday it wasn't the right time to have that conversation so I am going to wait till I pick her up on Sunday to talk to her, just give her the rest of the week off yeah?
Travis: yeah that's fine, how's the album going for you?
Jaden: good I had a studio session with Justin and we recorded how far, we didn't finish it but do you want to hear what I have so far?
Travis: yeah
Jaden: okay (pulls out his phone and goes into his voice memos and plays the song)
Travis: damn J your vocals have improved so much in a year
Jaden: (smiles) right I can't believe how different it sounds but it's a good different right?
Travis: yeah It sounds great which is why I want to talk to you about doing a cover song for Spotify
Jaden: what song?
Travis: you get to pick but I talked to them already and they would love to work with you
Jaden: okay I'll think it over and let you know when do they want it done by?
Travis: does two months work for you?
Jaden: yeah it'll probably be a lot sooner than that though
Travis: yeah but it's a good time frame to get you in the studio, go over it, fix it if it needs fixing etcetera
Jaden: true, so should we start recording how far today?
Travis: if you want to get in the booth then yeah let's do it
Jaden: alright (stands up and walks into the booth)
Scene change
Knock knock
Lexie: come In! (Walks over to her radio and turns it off)
Gabi: hey lex josh says you should shower and start getting ready to go
Lexie: okay I was just about done anyway
Gabi: what were you working on?
Lexie: just some improv stuff, but it was a good workout for sure (grabs her water bottle and phone) but tell Joshy I'll get ready now
Gabi: okay (smiles and walks away)
Lexie's pov
I walked downstairs to my room and wasn't sure where we were going for dinner but I knew I should look at least somewhat decent so I picked out a plum colored tube romper with a pair of matching sandals and laid it out on my bed. I took a quick shower and after that I wrapped myself in a towel and did a quick braid in my and got dressed and walked downstairs to see josh and Gabi ready to go.

Lexie: is this to nice? I wasn't sure where we were going
Josh: yeah that's fine and we are going to catch steak
Lexie: o okay, is Bryce here yet?
Josh: yeah he just texted saying he landed so let's go
Lexie: okay
(The three of them leave the house and start driving to the airport which took forty minutes because of traffic)
Bryce: yoooo josh!! (Calls him over)
Josh: Bryce!! (Parks the car and runs over to him and hugs him)
Gabi: (turns to look at Lexie) are they In a relationship and I am just third wheeling? (Jokes)
Lexie: oh a hundred percent (jokes back)
(Bryce opens the back door while josh puts his suitcases in the trunk)
Bryce: baby hossler!! (Pulls her in for a hug)
Lexie: hi Bryce! (Hugs him back) I have missed you
Bryce: I have missed you too, how is everything?
Lexie: good, how was the movie?
Bryce: awesome, I can't wait for you guys to see it
Lexie: when does it come out?
Bryce: the producers don't have a date yet but probably next year or something
Lexie: oh okay
Bryce: hi Gabi (smiles at her)
Gabi: hi Bryce, how are you?
Bryce: I am good, how about you?
Gabi: good
(Josh gets in the car)
Josh: so catch steak?
Bryce: yes I am starving! The flight food was terrible
Josh: (laughs) when is it ever good?
Bryce: true
Lexie's pov
The car ride to catch steak was pretty much just spent with talking to Bryce and catching up with him and of course josh had to troll and play still softish at least once. I rolled my eyes when the song came on but thankfully we were only two minutes in before josh pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant. We got out and I groaned because there was already paparazzi.. like are you kidding me? I looked over at josh who was holding hands with Gabi, so then I looked over at Bryce who seemed to get the message and held my hand and we started walking into the restaurant where there was a line on top of everything else.

Bryce: hey josh isn't that Madison and Nick? (Does a head gesture towards the paparazzi lights)
Josh: oh yeah, looks like they are with some friends too
(They get to the front of the restaurant)
Bryce: hey guys
Nick: oh hey Bryce, josh, Lexie and I don't think we've met before
Josh: this is Gabi she's my girlfriend, hey madison
Madison: hey (smiles) how are you guys?
Josh: good, how about you?
Madison: good, I actually just got back on tour
Lexie: yeah I saw videos of you on my social media you killed it
Madison: (smiles) thanks Lexie, oh guys I am so sorry let me introduce my friends this is Nick and his brothers Chris and Matt
Bryce: are you guys triplets?
Chris: no what gives you that idea (jokes)
Bryce: I like you already
Matt: told you we would see each other again I just didn't think it would be this soon
Lexie: neither did I and I didn't know you were friends with madi
Matt: yeah we've been friends for a while
Lexie: that's cool
Paparazzi: Lexie can we ask you a few questions because the fans really want to know
Lexie: (fake smiles) what do you the fans want to know Fletcher?
Fletcher: people are speculating that Charli cheated on chase with landon after hearing chase's new snippet for his new song so did Landon cheat on you too?
Lexie: I haven't listened to chase's new song so i don't really know and with all due respect what happened between landon and I is something personal
Fletcher: so is that your way of saying yes?
Bryce: Fletcher dude you know that I am cool with you but have some respect yeah?
Fletcher: your right I am sorry Bryce
Bryce: don't apologize to me
Fletcher: right sorry Lexie, but one more question, any new music coming out?
Lexie: I am working on an ep right now but that's all I can say
Fletcher: alright thanks Lexie, Madison how was tour?
Lexie: Bryce can I go inside?
Bryce: yeah go ahead we'll be there in a minute
Lexie: okay
Matt: I'll go with you, Chris can you hold the door?
Chris: yeah I got you (grabs the door)
Matt: thanks
(Lexie and Matt walk into the restaurant and Lexie sits down on the chair and plays with her fingers)
Matt: you okay?
Lexie: oh uh yeah I just hate paparazzi
Matt: I don't blame you they were asking pretty invasive questions
Lexie: (scoffs) they always ask invasive questions but it comes with the territory I guess
Matt: yeah I get it I mean not the paparazzi part but with my brothers and I on social media our fans get pretty intense
Lexie: you guys are content creators?
Matt: yeah mainly YouTube but we also do twitch streams
Lexie: cool, what's your channel i'll subscribe (pulls out her phone)
Matt: the sturniolo triplets
(Lexie types it in and subscribes)
Lexie: there now you have one new person
Matt: thanks
(Then josh, Bryce, Gabi, and the rest of them walk into the restaurant)
Josh: lex our table is ready
Lexie: okay (looks at Matt) thanks for keeping me company
Matt: your welcome uh what's your instagram I'll follow you
Lexie: oh it's just Lexie hossler
Matt: cool (pulls out his phone and follows her) now you have one new follower
Lexie: (laughs) too shay, well I better go but it was nice seeing you again
Matt: you too
(Lexie walks over to the table with josh while Matt goes with Madison and Nick)
Bryce: so who was that?
Lexie: no one just someone that I met at the mall today
Bryce: then why are you smiling and blushing
Lexie: I am not
Bryce: you totally are
Lexie: shut up
Lexie's pov
Dinner was uneventful to say the least I ended up getting a sirloin steak and a coke and managed to eat half of it which was good enough for josh and after that we went back to the house. Bryce decided to stay the night so we just watched movies in the living room before i decided to call it a night so I said goodnight to everyone and walked up to my room. I pulled out my phone to plug in the charger and saw that Matt had indeed followed me so I followed him back along with Nick and Chris and their channel account before scrolling through my for you page for a bit and then fell asleep.
