Cheesy's mom had left that morning. They'd had a good catching up last night, and although they'd both wished she could've stayed longer, she had to get back to her hotel before a meeting. Apparently she'd been on a business trip. 

He sat up, stretching. Looking at the clock, he realized he'd slept in quite a while.

He walked into the bathroom and looked himself in the mirror, yawning.

Blinking, he stretched once more before reaching to grab his hairbrush. After that, he brushed his teeth and went to his closet. He put on pale gray-blue jeans and just kept his yellow shirt on.

Once downstairs, he immediately regretted his decision, seeing Trophy walk up to him with an unfamiliar look on his face. "Hey, Cheeseball," He said, staring down at the shorter boy. "Hiya, Trophs!" Cheesy replied, forcing a smile onto his face. "I, uh.. Saw you run off yesterday." The dirty-blond muttered. Cheesy looked down. 

"I'm sorry about that. I really do like you, y'know." His voice sounded a bit strained as he apologized, clearly something the jock didn't do very often.

Cheesy looked up. 

"You do? Or is this another bet?"

"Not another bet, I promise." 

Instead of forcing a smile, he couldn't keep it off his face.

"Wanna try again? A real date this time." 

"Of course!" Cheesy exclaimed, clasping his hands together. "When?"

"I'll meet you here at 6 tonight. don't be late!" Trophy winked, walking away.

Cheesy could barely hold back a squeal as he walked to his room with a very visible bounce in each step he took. 

In his room, he fell back onto his bed, hand over his heart. After a good 30 minutes, he looked at the time.

4:00 pm

He shot up.

Definitely not a good 30 minutes.

A good two HOURS!

He stood up off his bed and rushed to his closet. 

He put on a (very) slightly cropped yellow top, black shorts, long black socks, and his yellow tennis shoes. He hadn't worn these shoes in a bit too long, they were uncomfortably tight and he ended up pacing the room for 5-10 minutes to kill time and to stretch the shoes back out. He went to the bathroom and put on his usual eyeliner, glitter, and lip gloss.

5:00 pm

There was some time to kill.

He sat down in bed, not bothering to take off his shoes and leaned back, grabbed his remote, and turned on some random goofy rom-com to watch. The main character was very annoying, so he decided to turn it off and listen to music instead. He was staring at the ceiling when he heard beep! beep! beep! His alarm clock was going off. 10 minute mark. He sat up, took out his earbuds, put his phone in his pocket, and started out the door.

He hit the button on the elevator for the first floor, getting giddy now.  The elevator music was enjoyable for once.

The door opened and he bounced out, sitting down in one of the chairs of the lobby. Trophies tall figure caught his eye, and he stood up. Trophy nodded in greeting. "Soo, where are we going?" Cheesy asked, looking up at the taller male. "The lake again, if that's okay." Trophy replied, his voice taking on a more quizzical tone toward the end.

"Fine with me!" Cheesy shrugged, smiling big. 

The pair walked out together, Cheesy trailing a bit behind the whole time. They sat down at the dock, and in silence watched the sunset once more. The sky was a perfect mixture of pink, orange, yellow, and blue, and the lake sparkled, colored red by the fading sun. Trophies hand eventually found its way to rest on top of Cheesy's, and his certainly made no room to move.

EEEEEEEEEe they're basically dating now and I hate writing confession scenes so deal with it!! :3 Sorry this chapter is so rushed TwT uhh its ending soon.... two chapters left... BUT if ur lucky I may make a lightbrush or just oneshots book after!! :3
