~Amirah's Pov

I woke up to Haven not in my bed anymore. There was a bottle of water and some pills on my dresser, which seeing them seemed to remind me of how bad my head hurt.

I took the pills and went downstairs to make me a quick breakfast. After eating, I tiredly dragged myself back up the stairs, sitting down at my makeup desk for a second. Was drinking when I had to go to work the next day a smart idea?? No. Do I regret it? Slightly!

I decided to do light makeup today, only mascara and lip liner. I stared at the "uniform" Colten asked me to wear today. I'm not mentally prepared for this at all. Did he tell anybody else I was doing this? What if they think I have no self respect coming to work in an outfit they'd wear in a porno??

I internally groaned as I buttoned the blouse and struggled to slip into the skirt. I was right. The skirt ended just below my butt. If I were to bend over in any way, or even if the wind were to blow, everyone would get a good view of what's underneath.

I sighed out, immediately picking up my phone and facetiming Haven.

"Haven."
"Goodmorning to you!"
"No, not a good morning."
"Are you hung over?"
"Not really, but I do look like I'm about to role play.."

There was silence on her end, and her look of confusion would've made me laugh if I didn't want to jump off my balcony right now.

"Pardon?"
"Colten gave me this uniform to wear to work today. I hate it. I literally cannot do this.."
"No way it's that bad, let me see."

I set my phone down and backed up so she could see the whole outfit, or at least the little bit there was to it. Silence followed. She actually just stared at the screen for I don't know how long.

"Turn around??"

I did as she said. Silence followed again.

"I think you should buy a gun before you go."

I chuckled.

"Haven, this is serious-"
"Oh I was being so serious.."
"Only the security can have guns, and I don't even have time to stop to go get one."
"I can bring you one for lunch!"

I chuckled again.

"Haven."
"You're right."
"This has to be against some sort of rule right? This can't be appropriate for a professional setting?"
"What happens if you don't wear it?"
"Well when I asked why I had to be the one to wear it he said 'because I said so' ...so I don't even want to deal with the repercussions if I don't."
"I'm sorry you have to deal with him, Mirah. I'll keep looking for more jobs. If you need anything, text or call me immediately."

I nodded my head, we said our I love you's and goodbyes, and hung up. To say I'm dreading this whole thing is an understatement. I put on my heels and slowly walked down my steps and out of my apartment. The more steps I took, the more I filled with dread.

Once I arrived at the building, I sat in my car for a minute before making my way towards the entrance. My palms were sweaty and my anxiety was drastically increasing. I tried to pull the skirt down as much as I could, yet nothing seemed to make it any longer.

Eyes. When I stepped into the building, I felt all eyes on me. Some looked confused, some looked disgusted, some looked surprised, and some looked upset for me. Maybe they knew Colten was behind this. People began whispering, and a part of me wanted to turn right back around and go home.

He rounded the corner, and seemed to be the only one smiling in this situation. "It's perfect!" he said out loud, taking some eyes off of me. "Ladies, you won't have to stare for long! Soon, all of you will be in something just like this!" His excitement made me want to shove my foot down his throat.
