Just like Dez, Trish needed to walk.
That's when they ran in to each other on the beach.

"Hey." Trish said grumpily.

Dez replied in a scared but defeated tone, not at all like his usual bouncy fun self, "hey."

Trish suddenly wanted to ask him what was wrong, wanted to talk to him, but she felt held back for some reason. She had always felt the need to push Dez away, but now when she needed someone the most, he seemed the best option in the world. "What's wrong?" She asked timidly.

Dez had a confused look on his face. "What do you mean?"

Trish bit her lip. This was a mistake. "You seem down."

Then at the same time, they both softly whispered, "I'm all alone." They looked into each other's eyes with understanding.

Dez cleared his throat. "They always talk about Austin and alley and alley and Austin. I feel so ignored." He shifted uncomfortably.

Trish put her finger to his lips. "It's okay." Was all she said.

She kissed him for the first time, and they walked down the beach together holding hands, singing the Raini Rodriguez song, "living your dream."

They sat down and looked at the sunset. The moon came up, and after hours of silence, Dez pointed at it. Is that the Austin moon?"

"No" Trish said, "it's the Dez and Trish moon."
