By the time we left it was past 12 o'clock so I knew we couldn't be going anywhere but to a club that didn't start partying until 1am. Matt and Casey drove us but this time in a town car that had a partition. We also had champagne waiting for us in the back. I just smiled, knowing Prince was up to something as usual.
I only had one flute while he poured himself two. As we got closer to our destination, he told me we were going to a disco tech. He was cool with the owner and had a private table upstairs in the V.I.P. Since it was Wednesday it wouldn't be as packed and nobody really bothered him, especially with mean looking Casey around.
Prince helped me out of the car and wrapped his arm around my waist as we followed Matt into the back entrance with Casey right behind us. I was going to have to get use to walking fast whenever we entered and exited places.
The DJ was playing MC Hammer as the lights were flashing wildly while people danced all around the floor. We were ushered up the stairs to his private table, literally in the corner. Thankfully we had a good view of the dance floor. Looking around the balcony, I noticed a few people trying to see who he was with.
Prince moved his chair closer to me after pulling mine out for me. He took off his gloves and sat them on the table then handed me their menu.
"Do you want anything?" He asks, leaned over in my ear. I look over their drink menu and selection of appetizers. It definitely wasn't Chicago. "Um, just water for now."
Waving over Matt from the table next to us, he tells him our order.
"So am I nice looking enough to dance with you tonight?" He jokes making me giggle. "Really? We're still on that?"
"Well that's what you said. I think I'm a pretty good dancer too but you can be the judge." Licking his lips he sits back in his chair. Even in the muted lighting I could see the mischievous look in his eyes.
"You think you're a better dancer than me?"
"You've never danced with me so I don't know."
Before I can respond, a waitress interrupts our banter with two glasses of water. I thank her, seeing how anxious she looks. Prince quickly acknowledges her and it brightens her attitude. She saunters away with a pep in her step. I can't imagine what she would've done if he actually spoke.
