Her Light!

Chapter #9

It was astonishing! One minute there was nothing but old trees and bushes and the next minute all the plants were bright green and there were flowers everywhere. Butterflies flew around me and the birds were singing. I swirled around and saw a small cottage.

"Where are we?"

"My hidden home" she replied

"What do you want me for?" I asked

"I need your help Becca!"

"My help?"

"I need you to help my daughter"

"You... You... have a.. daughter?" I stuttered

"Yes"

We walked up to the cottage and she slowly opened the front door.

"I'm back sweetie" the older lady called out.

"Mum" a weak voice said from in the next room.

We entered the next room and I finally saw the girl. She had blonde hair (that was all knotted), crystal blue eyes (that were all puffy on the outside), she was skinny, pale, but when she saw her mother, a smile grew on her lips and she tried to sit up but couldn't.

It was sad to see her like this.

"Hello sweetie" the older lady said to her daughter while kissing her head.

"Mum, who is this?" the girl asked

"I'm Becca. Your mum put a-" I said till I was interrupted

"She's my friend who's going to help you Stacey"

I looked at her. Well I guess the older lady didn't tell her daughter about putting a curse on me!

"I can't be helped mother you know that. You've tried every single spell in the book" Stacey croaked out and then started to cough.

"What's the matter with her" I asked

"We have no idea. That's why I need your help maybe she has something that normal humans would get, like you"

"Mrs...."

"Call me Janice"

"Well Janice could you please go boil the kettle?"

"Sure. I'll be right back Stacey okay"

"I'm fine mum" She smiled, then she looked at me. When her mother was out the room she whispered "she put a curse on you didn't she?"

"Uh yes she did. The curse makes everyone I love and care for die! I can understand why she did it, it was because I wouldn't go with her and you needed help, but I was young and didn't know what she wanted and she didn't tell me why." I said back to her.

"I am so so sorry Becca."

I held her hand and it was ice cold.

"It's okay Stacey an I'm going to try and help you okay. It might not be with magic but it'll be with love. Love fixes basically everything"

"Thank you"

"Okay I have boiled the kettle, now what?" Janice said rushing into the room.

"Janice we can't rush this. She needs time to get better." I said quietly

"Okay sorry." She replied

I went into the kitchen and grabbed a mug. I poured half a cup of warm water in it, a tea spoon of sugar and honey, and some lemon juice. I stirred it up and walked back into the room. I passed it to Stacey and she slowly drank it. "This is lovely"

"So I know you don't know what's wrong with her but does she have a sore throat, headaches, cramps? That kind of stuff"

"She goes from really cold to burning hot. She gets terrible headaches, she can't sleep properly without waking up screaming from nightmares, she shakes, she can't get out of bed anymore, her throat is always sore and everything just varies!" A tear fell from her eye.

"Wow okay. It's okay I'm going to try and help. Now I'm not witch or anything but I can help care for her and teach you things." I smiled at her.

Your probably thinking why the hell am I being nice to her? She put a curse on me and took everyone I had ever cared about away from me right? But she did this because she wanted to help her daughter. Yes she should've said that instead but I can kind of understand what's going on. Her and her daughter need help and her being a witch or whatever, probably never asks for help because she doesn't need it!

I am going to help Stacey, for myself, Brandon, for her and Janice.

If its the last thing I do!

I am so sorry this had taken me awhile to update. I was finding it hard to write cause I didn't actually plan this to be some fairy tale thing haha but it's not going to be like princesses and charmings or anything, just a witch and her daughter.

Is anyone missing Brandon yet? I am haha..... wonder if he's gonna be coming back or not 😮 hehe!!
