Chapter Fourteen

We decided to have my birthday celebration here at my aun'ts house in ProvidentVillage, Marikina. Kasi hassle kung sa condo kasi may ecurity dun at medyo maliit ang space. Pink and white balloons are scattered all over my aunt's living room. Different foods are on the table and there's a poster that says "Happy Birthday" on the wall with my picture below. Sa kabilang side naman is a green cartolina that says "Wishes and Messages for the celebrant"

I can't believe I'm already fifteen. Kauuwi lang namin ngayon galing simbahan at dito kami na kami dumiretso sa bahay ni Tita Cess. She is my dad's sister.

"okay time for presents" dad announced.

"agad agad?? Mamaya na dad para madami ako bubuksan"

"nope it has to be done now" he said. "okay first stop Yaya Winey"

"happy birthday Elliah" Yaya Winey said and handed me her gift, it was a small light blue box with a ribbn on it, I opened it.

"a perfume? Thank you po" then I hugged her.

"okay next! Si Gian" dad said

"really?" then I turned to Gian "ikaw may gift sakin? Awe ang sweet naman ng baby brother ko," I squeezed him with a tight hug "I hope it's not a molden clay like what you give to dad on his birthday"

He cackled and said "nope, dad just gave me this the other night sabi niya ito daw gift ko sayo"

I gave him a bored look "at talagang inamin mo pa na hindi sayo galing?"

"eto na" he said. I released him and opened the pink wrapper, it was an orange purse with a flower on it.

"time for Lexy" dad shouted.

Lexy gave me a cute keychain hindi siya naka wrap but its okay, the keychain is a chibi. I don't know kung sinong anime to.

I turned to dad "and my favorite part comes" I said clapping my hands.

He smiled and gave me a card, "read it first"

I opened the card and it says..

Happy Birthday Elliah, you're already 15, anak mag aaral kang mabuti ha? Tandaan mo dapat matapos ka, ipakita mo sa mom mo na nakatapos ka at maayos ang nagging buhay mo kahit wala siya. Daddy loves you so much, I know you love me too. But I know time will come you'll love someone more than me and its okay, for as long as you're happy and he deserves you, I'm okay with him. Just always be a good girl, you know your limitations and I trust you. God Bless you anak. Happy birthday!

I was on the verge of crying and its so hard to hold back my tears. I hugged dad "I love you daddy" I released him and jumped then hooked my arms in his neck "where's my gift?"

He gave me a small red box, I opened it. A ring with a letter "E" on it. I smiled broadly and hugged my dad once more "thank you, thank you!" I wear it and it fits perfectly in my ring finger.

My day just got better, sana magtuloy tuloy hanggang mamaya.

That text was from Liah. After I read that text I quickly changed, I wore an orange spaghetti strap dress, with a painting design –it looks like an abstract painting actually, put on my orange strapped heels and put a no make up makeup!

True enough after a couple of minutes a tricycle was in front of me.
