Dani apparently gives amazing directions because we were there in about five minutes or so, taking some inner road her dad had told her about. We all chatted quietly, Dani cooly keeping her eyes set on Ed, purposely not looking at the staring Harry. " Yeah, school is too stressing." I say as Ed nods. "What year are you two?" he asks us "Year 13." I answer. "I noticed your blazers looked different from the other girls of your year...why?" He inquires. "Oh that's becuase we're prefects. I'm the Arts Prefect and Head Girl of special character." Dani says as Harry pulls an impressed face.
I let out a laugh and Harry turns to me "I'm the Dance and Pastoral Prefect." I say "Dani you should be prefect of everything, you're perfect." I continue. Harry shifts his gaze back to Dani as she shakes her head "No, I'm really not." "Yes you are, You're gorgeous and funny and you can act, sing, dance, you're amazing on computers and you're like a genius!" I point out "Thank You." Is all she says then she looks out the window "Ah we're here."
We all shuffle out of the car and into the restaurant. Dani said we might've needed a booking but the lady at the desk seemed to have recognized both Ed and Harry and given us a table. Harry rushed over to Dani's side as she stared out the window, then went ahead and pulled a chair out for her to sit down in, she looked up at him and smiled whispering a "thank you" and then taking the seat. Harry seemed stunned at this, besides saying "Hello" and introducing herself Dani hadn't payed any attention to him.
But really she had, whenever Harry wasn't looking she would grin at herself before reverting to her usual facade. But she always composed herself so quickly, you had to study her quite intently to catch moments like this, and being the person I was....this was quite simple for me. Ed pulled out the chair for me to sit down at and I beamed at him as he sat down beside me. Harry sat as close as possible to Daniella, their shoulder touching. Ed leaned into me and whispered "Funny, I've never ever seen Harry act like this before...it's usually the other way around," I laughed "Well that's Dani for you, she always gets what she wants."
The waiter arrives handing us all menus. We order some fried rice, spring rolls, deep fried squid and Dani insists upon ordering an array of dumplings. She grins at the waiter, having been here many times before. He nods and takes off. Harry orders a bottle if wine and Dani pulls a face that no one sees, I almost crack up but I'm able to contain myself.
Then it hits me. My best friend and I are having dinner with Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles. My eyes meet Dani's as we converse with our eyes. "I can't believe this is happening, this is the best day if my life." My eyes say to hers whilst I sip my green tea. 'Omgomgomgomg this is like amaze!" Her eyes say to me, the familiarity of her year nine self making a guest appearance.
Harry and Ed seem to have noticed out exchange "You alright" Harry asks us "Yep." We say together as the waiter appears with our food.
The night goes on as we laugh, talk and eat talking like old friends. "No really! It was embatrasing! I was walking down and I was like "Kiss me like you wanna be loved..." " She sang and then continued "And he looked at me like "What the hell?" and I was all like singing and he goes "You want me to kiss you then?" and I look at him puzzled and take out my head phones and ask him what he said and his eyes widened at the sight of my headphones and he was all "Nothing." and he like ran across the road." She finishes as we all laugh.
She covers her face with her hands "Not to mention he was my drama teacher. I couldn't look him straight in the eye after that." she says as she turns red. Harry stares at her as she picks up her small glass sipping on her tea before finishing off the last dumpling, his green eyes followed her every move closely. I turned to Ed "I've never seen him like that before, it's so strange." he mutters "It must be." I reply.
Just then, some random guy comes and sits down at our table. "Heyy Ladies." he drawls out grinning maniaclly at Dani and I. Dani and I almost faceplam it's Sam. "Hi." we mutter "So how's your night going? I recognized you two from across the restaurant, I haven't seen you for aaagggesss." he continues completely ignoring Harry and Ed. "It's fine." Dani says to him. He snakes his arm around my shoulders as I tense. "So wanna let me take you home then, Nonni?" his breath reaks of alcohol.
Dani is giving him a death glare looking like she's about to pounce at him. "Oh..Dani you can come too...it'll be f-ARGHH!" he yells as Dani has just socked him in the jaw. The impact makes him fall of his chair, pulling me to the ground with him. I groan as Harry and Ed then shoot up and Harry puts his arms around Dani's waist pulling her away quickly as she was about to hit him more, she struggled against Harry's grip but managed a killer kick to his crotch as he yells out in pain.
Ed looks down at me offering me a hand, which I take. He pulls me up "You alright love?" he asks me "Yeah I'm fine." I smile at him slightly before turning to Dani and Harry. Dani shakes out of his grip her expression stone cold. "Sorry." she mutters before walking out of the restaurant.
Harry and Ed pay for our meal much to my concern and we follow Dani out. We find her leaning against the pillar waiting for us "Sorry about that, I really hate that guy." she apologises "It's fine love" Harry says to her and Ed and I nod. I stepped towards her "You alright Danzi?" I ask "Yeah. I mean after all the stuff he did to Rach, I hate him so much. Too bad we still never got to cut his balls off, but I must say that was second best." she grins slightly. The boys look concerned I smile, "Oh the whole cut balls of thing is a thing we threaten to do to guys who hurt our friends." I explain.
"Oh." Harry gulps. Ed smiles a little "We should get going then?" he asks as both Dani and I nod.
I had a feeling that tonight we were in for a lot of surprises.
