Aiden x Ashlyn - A Night Alone

Chapter 5

[Time skip to morning]

Ashlyn's POV:
I woke up on Aiden's lap, wasn't really expecting it. But it was kind of comfortable here. He looked down at me, "Mornin Ashy"! I chuckled a bit and replied, "Morning Aid".

'Oh crap I never meant to call him Aid'! I thought, my heart now racing. I quickly sat up and got off of  him. "Ash it's ok, I kinda like that nickname". He smiled at me, I hesitated but then smiled back. 'Do I like Aiden? No, I couldn't... we met like a week ago. I can't like him... right'?! I thought whilst trying to refocus.

"Ash calm down, I said it was ok". He said trying to reassure me. "O- oh um o- ok thanks I guess". I replied back shakily. "Anyway Tyler made us all pancakes! Want some"? He asked in his usual cheerful tone. I just nodded and he went to the kitchen.

I was still kinda tired but I didn't feel like going back to sleep. 'Maybe we can try sleeping later Ash, just don't do it right now'. I thought as I went to go change. Just then Aiden came back over to me.

"Ash wanna wear one of my hoodies"?, he asked. Then I just remembered I didn't even bring any clothes. "I mean... sure I guess; thanks"? I questioned, because I was very confused why he offered me his hoodie.

I went to the bathroom and put it on. Surprisingly it was quite comfortable. The hoodie was a marron ish shade of red and it had a smiley face emoji on the side of both sleeves. 'Why is this so comfortable'? I thought as I walked back down stairs and into the living room.

Aiden's POV:
I saw Ashlyn walk back in. She was surprisingly wearing the hoodie I had given her moments prior. And in all honesty, Ash looked really cute in it. "Ashy can I braid your hair? Please! Just this once"?, I begged.

"Alright fine, just don't pull on my hair too hard". She replied back as she came over to me and sat in front of me. I started braiding her hair and I noticed she was begining to fall asleep again. "Ash, you ok"? I asked, she nodded and tried to keep her eyes open.

However that was short lived. After I was done braiding her hair, I looked at her and she was already asleep again. So, carefully I picked her up and laid her in my lap. She tried to open her eyes and managed to say, "A- Aiden what are you"?

I placed my hand on her cheek, "Shh, it's alright Ash, just rest; I don't mind". I replied back, she smiled before drifting back off to sleep.

Taylor's POV:
I was helping Tyler in the kitchen. But noticed Ashlyn and Aiden weren't around. "Hey Ty, where's Ash and Aiden"? I asked him, but he just shrugged it off and I went to go look for them.

I saw Aiden on the floor next to the TV. "Uh Aiden, why is Ashlyn on your lap"? I questioned, I slightly laughed a bit. "Taylor, shh. Ash is sleeping". He replied back, gently covering Ashlyn's ears.

"Ah, well if you want you can bring her to my room. I don't mind". I told him, he picked Ashlyn up and I saw him carry her to my room.
