Today was unusual. Well, not unusual.... just not usual. I woke up to the sound of my alarm, which, like very morning, was practically a death sentence. I laid in bed for about 20 minutes before I hear a VERY, VERY unnecessary knock on my door. "Can I help you?!!" I shout, while burying my head in my covers. See, usually I'm not this rude about getting up but today was a "special" day according to my parents. "Our flight leaves in 3 hours! Let's go, Valery!" My mom was super excited to be moving across the country and I was 100%, positively, NOT. "Ok, ok I'm up, I'm up...."
So I guess you could say falling down stairs is not an ideal way to start your morning, but hey, I was tired and not ready to move across the country. Eating breakfast was probably the hardest thing about my day because 1, I had no idea what I was eating and 2, I kinda just wanted to stay at the table forever. As I was mentally preparing myself to stand up, I heard a shout from upstairs, "VAL!!!" My dad couldn't handle flying..... especially leaving his favorite job. I pulled out the loudest scream I could manage, "YES?" "Come up here and finish packing. NOW," he yelled. Here we go.
8:30 am
I can't stand packing. Literally going to be the end of me. Ok, so now that the dreaded suitcase is filled to the top, I am ready to sleep for the 6 hour flight to California. Time for the long awaited flight. "Let's go hunny!" I hear from the limo driver outside. Walking to the front yard I whisper, "Goodbye Washington D.C." Leaving home was pretty hard, but starting high school..... I would choose leaving the White House any day.Yours Truly, Val
