I couldn't stop How could I ever stop? It seemed just too impossible... nothing ever stopped it But Your power.
I've daydreamed almost my whole entire life All I wanted was reality to go away... couldn't handle all the pain But You will come.
Ever since those clouds I couldn't stop thinking about them Every single second of my life I dreamed... I was only loosing myself to darkness But You see everything.
So You gracefully will call me by name. I'm Yours,they won't ever become me, neither will I become them. Life is Yours.
I'm in reality, so much more than reality. You are the realest thing I've known. LORD,You will steady me. Jesus,You're real.
Remember this closely: daydreams are a temporary fix-
but the love of Christ is forever!

This was a very lovely poem to write about how Jesus saved me from maladaptive daydreaming. This is how I came to Christ. He met me where I was when I was struggling so much with daydreaming for 5+ years. Most of the time I didn't even know what it was or that it is a problem. It was so so bad now that I look back on it. It only drove me to loneliness, dissociation, darkness, living in my head, isolation, sin, rebellion and evil. But Jesus set me free! This is His story, I can testify to His grace, light and hope that He showed me! ✝️✧
This poem is for Him and everyone who is struggling with this. Please don't give up, please stay strong in Christ. Just give it all and surrender it all to Him. I know God will deliver you. He doesn't like what maladaptive daydreaming is doing to everyone and how it will only drive us further into darkness. I know how hard it is to give up. It's definitely not a quick process but God is stronger than anything and He will be with you - don't fear. Just talk to Him and pray. Tell Him about everything: all the pain and tears for He hears it all - all the time. The more you grow closer to Christ the more these things start to disappear and bonds start to break. Jesus is the only way, the only truth, the only life to escaping this. 📄☁️
Through our salvation in Christ we gain a helper - the Holy Spirit. Let the Holy Spirit come into your life and heart and let Him transform you. He will help you let go of your past self, desires and pride; understand it's God will that is the best for us - not ours; gain self-control; get rid of triggers (like music - especially secular music that just leaves us feeling empty); know that we must live for His glory alone - not ours, grow closer to His word with reading the Bible and know that it doesn't matter who you are, what you've done, what you've been through or how dark those daydreams were - God offers His eternal forgiveness through Christ. God just wants you home and to be happier. He just wants to hold you in His arms and embrace you with great joy because you've come back to Him from all the darkness and anguish you've been through. And especially we must remember the only way to our salvation from all this darkness - Jesus Christ. Who died and rose again so we can have been forever saved by grace alone through faith. It's not that anything that we have done or achieved and not through any other person or thing. Jesus is our only forever safe place. He gives us more than those daydreams ever could and more joy than we could ever imagine. Thank You Jesus for your forever love, restoration, forgiveness, safety and life. 🕊️♡
