Your POV

I was sitting in the car waiting for something to do. I saw Cole walking over looking like he just got told the worst news.

" Hey Shaw!" I shouted

He looked my way. " What's wrong with your face?" I teased hoping he would smile

He glared, but couldn't help but smile. " Jeez Y/n, how long were you waiting to use that comeback." He said while walking over to the car.

I chuckled, " Maybe, but seriously what's wrong."

He sighed and leaned against the car. " I just got told Russell will be joining the case with us."

I sighed, " You guys are still not talking." I said while glancing over to him

He looked back over to me. " You know I refuse to work or speak to him."

" Doesn't mean he's not family." I softly said while giving him a look

" I know that kid." He said

I gasped, " I'm not a kid."

He chuckled and looked over, " Yea right."

I groaned, " Cole, I'm not that young."

He smirked, but didn't say anything, making me punch his arm.

" Jerk" I mumbled

Before he could answer Russell walked over. " Let's go lovebirds."

" Russ..." I said pausing, but he only walked to the driver's side of the car we were gonna take. So I leaned over to Cole. " Cole, he does know we're not dating right?" I whispered

He chuckled, " It's Russell who even knows any more. Let's go before he leaves us." He said and pulled me out of the car I was sitting in just to get into the other one Russell was in. Once I was settled in the back seat I couldn't help, but smile.

" Well, if it isn't the two Shaw brothers together again." I said

" Cool it you." Cole said which made Russell chuckle...

" You know brother she's right." Cole glared, " It wasn't by choice." He said

Cole's POV

I felt a lot of feelings right now. I can't believe he had to join my group. I mean yeah it's only Y/n and I but that's what I like.

We were all keeping watch at the house that we think the girl is in. " How long do you think until he leaves?" Y/n said softly

Before I could get the words out Russell said, " Right now."

Making all of us look over to see a guy leaving the driveway. " Is it our time to shine now?" Y/n said I smirked a little, " Yeah, let's roll."

We all carefully got out of the car and moved to go around the back of the house.

I made sure Y/n was in the middle of us just for protection even though she doesn't need it.

" Is it locked?" She whispered to my brother since he was in front of her. Russell didn't answer her. Instead he just slowly opened the door.

" Stay close to me, you two." He whispered

So what I did was make sure Y/n/n was close to me. We all walked in and scanned out the building. " I suggest we check if it had a basement first?" Y/n softly said

" Good thinking, kiddo" I said, which got a smack on the arm from her. I saw Russell smirk when he saw that, but kept his mouth shut.

" Where would the basement be located?" I asked

The next thing I heard was, Y/n voice in a different room. " Over here."

Russell and I rushed over. I gave her a look. " What?" She said raising her brow

" You can't just disappear like that, what if something happened to you." I said

" I'm fine...nothing bad happened." She told me

Russell groaned and turned to face us. " Knock it off, we're on a mission." he scolded

I heard laughing behind me, which made me turn my head. Before I could get words out she said, " Someones mad." making me roll my eyes.

" Cole, control her" Russell scolded me

I turned and glared at him."Hey! She's not some animal that you control." I whispered shouted

Russell rolled his eyes which annoyed me.

Your POV

I was getting fed up with the brothers so I decided to go look for the missing girl myself. Before I walked to the basement I made sure both the Shaw brothers were still going at each other. I then opened the door and walked downstairs being careful.

After a while of searching I was about to walk upstairs until I heard a strange noise I decided to go investigate, which is probably dumb doing it by myself.

I then saw a young girl, most likely the age of fourteen. " Hey, it's okay." I whispered to her since she tried to back away.

" I'm here to help you, my name is Y/n." I softly said moving slowly closer to her.

Cole's POV

I groaned, getting annoyed with Russell. I turned my head to talk to Y/n again, but she wasn't there.I let out a string of curse words.

" Where did she go?" I muttered

Russell heard me and looked around with me. " Hey the basement" he called out to me

I immediately ran over to him and nudged him to the side to get down. " Y/n! Y/n/n!" I called out when I got down to the floor

" We're in here!" She called back

What she said didn't register in my head. I just ran over to her, " Don't run off like that." I scolded while wrapping my arms around her. She wrapped her arms around me. " I'm fine, Cole." She whispered before pulling away. I looked down at her, " I know, but you know you're like a little sister to me." I said

She smiled before looking to the side. " This is Callie, the girl we were..." I cut her off, " looking for." I paused and patted her shoulders. " Good work, Y/l/n." I said
