Your POV

I was in Conrad's apartment working on this fake case file my professor gave me. I was so into my work that I jumped at the touch on my shoulder.

" Sorry, love" He whispered in my ear I smiled, " You okay, you ready to head down too Cousin's." I asked

He played with my necklace. " Hey, you okay?" I whispered and turned around in the chair. "Yea, I'm fine." He mumbled

I just gave him a look, " Just um I got fired from my internship." He whispered, making me just pull him into a hug. " It's gonna be okay..." I whispered while rubbing up and down his spine.

Conrad just gripped me tighter. " What if it's not." he whispered

I kissed the side of his head, " Don't think like that." I whispered

He just stayed quiet, " Hey, you can always try again next semester." I softly said

He just sighed and pulled back and gave me a soft smile. " That's exactly what Agnes said." I smiled, " Wow! Good minds think alike." I said

Conrad chuckled and pulled me back into his arms. I smiled and giggled as he picked me up a little. " Oh my favorite lawyer." He said, which only made me let out a string of giggles. " I'm not a lawyer yet." I reminded him

" Well, when we graduate and you're the best lawyer in the world, you bet your ass I'm having you as my own." He teased I blushed " You're too sweet." I softly said and kissed his lips making him kiss back immediately.

'time jump'

I was watching Conrad pack a bag since he decided he was gonna go to his mom's ceremony. " I wish you could come with me." He whispered

I looked up...and sighed, "Baby, you know I can't. I have my internship and all these case files I have to go through." He looked over before walking over and flopping on his bed beside me. " You okay, Connie?" I asked

He moved and wrapped his arms around me while lying his head on my stomach. " I'm just gonna miss you." He mumbled while lightly running his finger up and down my rib cage. " Babe, I know and I'll miss you too. You know I would go with you in a heartbeat if I could get some time off my internship." I softly say running my hands through his hair making him cuddle closer to me. He pressed small kisses to my stomach making me chuckle some.

Conrad's POV

Y/n pulled up to the Los Angles airport and that's when I knew we were actually going our separate ways for now.

" You sure you can't come with me." I asked, resting my head on the headrest while looking over at her. Just the way the sun was setting and the glow lands on her face makes me not want to go and just stay with her. She sighed and looked over at me. " Baby, you know I would, but I can't." Y/n softly said
