"I suppose I should have known better." Sebastian reprimanded himself as we walked through the safe halls of Hogwarts.

"Don't be angry with yourself, Sebastian. We're alive. And, besides that last bit, I had a great time." I tried to reassure him, but he only frowned and sighed and grumbled in response.

"Though it doesn't really help me feel any better, I am glad you had a good time." He eventually relented.

As we reached the entrance to my common room, I took hold of his hand.

"Thank you. I can't imagine what would have happened if you weren't there." I squeezed our tangled fingers tightly together.

"I can." He clenched his jaw, his anger coming back in full force, and I almost regretted bringing it up again.

"Hey, it's alright. We're alright." I placed my other hand on his cheek, and he leaned into it, his warm face felt comforting against my icy cold palms.

"I suppose." He sighed. I reached up and kissed his lips softly. As I pulled away, he gently pulled his hand out of mine, and wrapped both of them around my waist, pulling me back into another kiss.

"Sebastian-" I laughed, leaning back. He quickly leaned forward, meeting my lips again. I placed my hands on his chest, gently pushed him back from me.

"Let's not make those rumors true." I laughed, and he sighed dramatically.

"Fine." He lamented theatrically, and I reached up and kissed his cheek so that he wouldn't sulk.

"Goodnight." I smiled at him, and he finally let go of me.

"Goodnight." He matched my smile. I gave him a little wave as I stepped through the entrance to my common room.

"How's your boyfriend?" Samantha teased from where she was sitting, studying.

"Good." I blushed at her words. I walked over to her and sat down on the plush couch. "How's your boy?" I teased back, and grinned at how I successfully made her cheeks redden.

"Probably fine." She sighed, keeping her eyes on her textbook.

"You two haven't spoken yet?" I asked.

"No." She sighed again.

"Hm, well you should." I observed.

"I know. I just don't know how to, or what to say. I'm not sure how I even feel about him." She closed her book.

"That makes sense." I nodded. "You'll figure it out." I smiled at her, and patted her knee sympathetically.

"Any advice? You are the boy expert." She grinned teasingly at me.

"Am not." I scoffed. She tilted her head, giving me a knowing look. I rolled my eyes, and quickly changed topics as we headed up to our dorm together to get ready for bed.

Classes started again the next morning, and Samantha and I got up early so we could do more studying to make sure we weren't going to get behind in our schoolwork.

Breakfast and my first classes went by in such a chaotic whirl, that I almost didn't notice the excited whispers that filled the school.

As Sebastian and I walked into Defense Against the Dark Arts later that morning, a small crowd was gathered in the back corner of the seats.

"Must be the new student." Sebastian observed as he watched the crowd, trying to get a glimpse of whoever was on the inside. I jumped at his words, remembering that they would have started today.
