Who are Ruby and Josh?" she asked suddenly, hearing a yelling sound. She looked in front to see her dad, Namjoon, and her mother yelling her name. She finally felt relieved. "Dad," she yelled. Namjoon noticed her and ran toward her before embracing her. "Are you fine, my little one?" he asked, checking her up and down, while her mother caressed her.
“I'm fine, Dad, but Jungkook got hurt,” she said, crying on his chest. “Oh dear, don't worry. He will be fine. Look at yourself first; you look messed ,” Namjoon said. “Y/N, baby, he will be fine. Don't cry so much,” she said. Y/N nodded her head and wiped her tears. “Uncle, what were you saying before about Josh and Ruby?” she asked. Mark looked at her. “Y/N, I know you don't believe me, but it's the truth. The locket you are wearing belonged to my wife. She gave it to her niece, and the other half of the locket is with Jungkook. She wanted to protect you,” Mark said. “I'm not understanding anything. How the hell am I related to you?” Y/N asked.
“Listen, you are my wife's step sister Ruby's child,” Mark started to tell her everything about that day. Her eyes widened, along with Namjoon and his wife's. They knew this day would come, and Y/N would learn the truth.
“It's not possible. I already have parents. You must be mistaking me for someone else. Dad, what is he saying? How?” she said, looking at Namjoon. He sighed and released a breath before holding her hand…
“Listen, Y/N, he is telling the truth,” Namjoon said, making her breath hitch. “No,” her eyes teared up again. “Baby, you were 5 when I found you in the forest. When I was coming back, you accidentally came in front of my car, and nobody came to take you. I thought it was better to adopt you, but I never knew your real parents had already died. You were small, and the locket was really given by your parents. I am sorry for hiding everything. I didn't want to see you break, so I hid the truth and made you my daughter,” Namjoon said. Y/N suddenly hugged him and kept crying on his chest while he stroked her hair.
““You are still my daughter, no matter what, my little princess,” Namjoon said. Y/N nodded her head. Suddenly, the door opened, revealing a panicked doctor. “What’s happening?” Jimin asked. “Sir, we are trying to save the patient, but his fever is not going down. Even though the bleeding has stopped, he has already lost so much blood. If the patient doesn't wake up within 24 hours, he could lose his life,” the doctor said, making Y/N's knees weak. She held her dad for support. “Can we meet him?” Y/N asked, stuttering in front of him.
“Not right now. You have to wait for an hour,” the doctor said and went out. A few minutes later, a nurse wheeled in Jungkook on a stretcher, hooked up to many machines and IV tubes. Y/N’s heart broke seeing him like that. “He will be fine,” Y/N asked Namjoon hopefully, while he nodded his head. “Yes, he will. Don't worry,” he said..
One hour quickly passed, and Y/N was the first to enter the room to see him. She took a step towards Jungkook, who was lying unconscious with an oxygen tube around his mouth and a bandage on his chest. She wiped her tears, but they continued to flow. She sat beside him and took his hand in hers…
“Babe, I’m sorry. Everything is happening because of me. I know I’m such bad luck. You are in this condition because of me. I’m sorry. Please wake up. I will never be angry with you or ignore you. Please, love, please wake up,” she said, holding his hand desperately, wanting to see him wake up.
In one day, everything had changed. She saw the love of her life get stabbed and learned that her father and family were not her real family. She was mentally broken, blaming herself for everything. Her hand touched Jungkook's face, which was burning like fire. She kept caressing him.
