The morning came, and Julie started to open her eyes. She groaned in pain as she slowly woke up and saw her whole body already healed. Her eyes widened as she looked beside her to see her son sleeping. Her hand caressed his head. “Baby,” Julie said, taking the baby in her arms. She knew her baby wasn't normal; he grew faster than a human. “Ruby,” her breath hitched, remembering everything. She took the baby and started to go towards the same direction where she saw the creature last night. Her feet took her toward the road where she ran away last night. Her eyes grew moist, and a scream left her mouth as she saw two burnt skeletons lying on the ground and insects roaming around the bodies. “Ruby, Josh!” Julie screamed, holding the baby tightly, tears streaming down her face. She found herself alone. “I can't wait here, what if the creature comes again?” she said, sitting inside the car and trying to start it again, but nothing worked. Suddenly, the car started. She sighed in relief and headed toward the city where her husband was also there.
She wiped her tears as she drove the car, whispering, "I will find you, Y/N," choking on her tears. The baby was already awake, observing everything. Suddenly, Julie's eyes went to the baby when he pressed against her chest, signalling he was hungry. She stopped the car by the roadside, unbuttoned her shirt, and let the baby suckle. She caressed his head gently. The city was so close. After the baby finished his meal, he fell back asleep. Julie started the car again….
Meanwhile, Namjoon was waiting for the girl to wake up. He hadn't been able to sleep the whole night. "Sir, the patient is awake," the nurse said. Namjoon rushed to the room and found the girl sitting on the bed, expressionless. He took a breath and approached her. "Are you fine?" he asked. She nodded, which made him smile. "Where are your parents?" he asked again. She tilted her head in confusion. "Your parents, mom and dad, do you know where they are?" he clarified. "I don't know anything," she said, her lips trembling, on the verge of tears.
"Hold on, don't cry," Namjoon said reassuringly. "Where am I? Who am I?" she asked, looking confused. Namjoon immediately called the attending doctor. "What happened? Why is she not remembering anything?" Namjoon inquired. "Let me check," the doctor said, beginning to examine her. "I think she lost her memory because she bumped into your car, causing pressure on her brain and forgetting the memory ," the doctor explained. "Now what should I do? She's not remembering anything," Namjoon fretted.
"Uncle, I want water," she requested. Namjoon handed her a glass, and she started to drink. Meanwhile, Namjoon was devastated. He made a decision: if no one came to take her, he would take care of her…
A few minutes later, the police entered the room. "We are here for her," the officer said, and Namjoon nodded. The officer approached her. "Do you know where your parents are?" he asked. "I don't know anything," she repeated. "Okay, what's your name?" they asked, but she shook her head. The police sighed. "I think until her parents file a complaint, we have to send her to an orphanage," the officer said to Namjoon.
"No, I don't want to go anywhere," Y/N said, crying even more. "Officer, until her parents come, can I take care of her?" Namjoon asked. "We can't give a small child to just anyone. We need proof that you're the right person to take care of her," the officer replied. Namjoon nodded and presented his identity card. "Here is Kim Namjoon, CEO of Kim Company," Namjoon said. The officer nodded. "Okay, you can take care of her. We'll inform you when her parents arrive," the officer said. Namjoon nodded and looked at the little girl who was still crying. "Calm down, no one's taking you anywhere," Namjoon said, wiping her tears. "Do you want to eat something?" he asked, and she nodded. "Okay, let's go," Namjoon said, taking her in his arms and heading outside.
Meanwhile, Julie arrived home where her husband Mark lived. She rang the bell, and the gate opened, revealing Mark with a shocked expression. "Julie!" Mark hugged her tightly. "Why the hell were you and Ruby not picking up my calls? I was so worried about you." Before Mark could finish his sentence, Julie hugged him tightly and burst into tears. He stood there, concerned, until he noticed her bump was no longer there. "Julie, what happened?" Mark asked, his worry deepening…..
