Later, around 11 PM, our stomachs growled and ached we were so hungry for actual food. We decided to order pizza and slushies on DoorDash for a midnight snack.

In my room, we laid on my bed, watching "A Quiet Place 2" on the ceiling projector.

Izzy turned to me, her gaze soft. "You've got pizza sauce on your face," she said with a teasing smile.

"Where?" I asked, feeling a bit self-conscious.

"Here," Izzy replied, her voice low. She reached out, her thumb gently wiping the sauce off my lips and chin. Our eyes locked, and the air between us crackled with tension.

As we layed there, side by side, the movie forgotten as we stared at each other. My heart pounded in my chest, a mix of fear and excitement. Izzy's thumb lingered on my skin, her eyes flicking down to my lips and then back up to my eyes.

In that moment, everything else faded away, and it was just the two of us, caught in a moment of perfect, terrifying possibility.

"Come with me," Izzy whispered, taking my hand. We sneaked downstairs and carefully opened the back slider, trying not to wake anyone. It was thundering outside, so I hesitated.

"I don't know about this," I said, trying to pull away.

But Izzy was too fast. She pulled me towards her and said, "I'm sorry for what I'm about to do," before picking me up and throwing me over her shoulder.

I laughed as she carried me out into the thunderstorm, spinning me around. When she put me down, I was dizzy and soaked, but I didn't care.

As the light inside of the house turned on, we ran to the side of the house, hiding from view.

We opened the gate to Izzy's backyard and went to the back door. Izzy lifted up the welcome mat which had a key under it and snuck inside, drenched and laughing.

As we creeped up the stairs trying not to wake up anyone. Izzy walked in the hallway and was shocked when she realized that nobody was home because everyone's bedroom doors were open.

She looked at me, then turned on the light in her room, and I was mesmerized by the beautiful paintings and album cover art on her walls. The warm ambient lighting made the room feel cozy and inviting, wrapping me in a sense of safety and wonder.

"You should take a shower," Izzy said, her eyes scanning my wet and muddy clothes.

"I don't have any clothes to change into, and I don't want to be a bother," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper.

"You can borrow mine," she insisted, handing me a towel and some clothes, her touch sending shivers down my spine.

I couldn't say no to her; she had a way of drawing me in, making me feel like there was nowhere else I wanted to be.

I took the clothes, feeling my heart race. "Thanks, Izzy. You really don't have to do this."

"I want to," she said softly, her eyes meeting mine with an intensity that made my stomach flutter in ways I never thought possible.

No one had ever made me feel as wanted and important as Izzy did. She brought out a side of me that no one else ever had. As I took the clothes from her hand, I could feel my heart pounding inside my chest.

Shutting the bathroom door behind me, I realized the shower door was glass, revealing the most beautiful tiled walls.

I hopped into the shower and started to play music on my phone, singing along to "Right Here" by Chase Atlantic.

** Izzy heard me from her room and crept towards the bathroom door, but ended up hitting her head, causing both of them to burst into laughter. **

I think Izzy walked into the door, hahaha she is so noisy. As I rolled by eyes distracted, I got shampoo in my eye and screamed in pain.

** Izzy, scared that Eve was hurt, called out, "Eve, what's wrong?" But Eve couldn't hear her over the music and the water. **

As I continued to scream, Izzy unlocked the door and saw my figure through the glass. I blushed, "Wow, you're absolutely stunning." Izzy said, before panicking and shutting the door. She repeatedly apologized from the other side of the door. I was unfazed, not even concerned about Izzy seeing me. It was the least of my concern, I was close enough with her and she has seen me chow down mashed potatoes and ribs and nothing is worse than that. Right?
