When I woke up, my ankle felt much better. Hunger gnawed at my stomach, so I quickly got dressed and headed downstairs. There, I saw Izzy cutting up a fruit platter, with a plate of chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, and eggs already on the counter.
(p.s this is like fake flirting like you do with you friends)
"Good morning," I said, smiling as I walked over to her.
"Morning, beautiful," Izzy replied with a wink. "I made breakfast."
I felt a blush rise to my cheeks. "You made all this? I didn't know you could cook."
Izzy shrugged, her eyes sparkling. "There's a lot you don't know about me."
I stepped closer, picking up a piece of fruit and popping it into my mouth. "Oh, really? Maybe I need to find out more."
Izzy's gaze held mine, a playful smirk on her lips. "Maybe you do."
Before I could respond, Caleigh, Aliyah, and Vic burst into the kitchen.
"Izzy, since when the hell do you cook?" Aliyah asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Since forever," Izzy replied, rolling her eyes.
"Yeah, 'forever'," Caleigh said sarcastically.
"WAIT, I WANT SOME!" Caleigh yelled suddenly. She ran over and snatched Izzy's plate of food, darting towards the elevator.
"What the hell, Caleigh!" Izzy shouted, chasing after her.
Everyone burst out laughing as the elevator doors closed with Caleigh inside, grinning mischievously.
Izzy threw her hands up in frustration. "Whatever, guys, shut up. It's fine. I'll just make another one." She turned to me, her eyes twinkling. "Guess that means you'll have to help me make another plate."
I grinned, feeling a flutter of excitement. "I'd be happy to."

"Thanks for making breakfast," I said softly, catching her eye.
"Anything for you," she replied, her voice just as soft.
The moment felt intimate, despite the chaos around us. It was as if we were in our own little bubble, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for these stolen moments.
