Samaira sat on a bench in the nearby park, her mind swirling with confusion and disbelief. She still couldn’t wrap her head around the fact that Neev was spending time with another girl. Her thoughts raced as she replayed the moments of their confession and the promises they made to each other.

"Kya yeh sach mein ho raha hai?" she whispered to herself, staring at the phone in her hand. She opened the dial pad and hovered over Neev’s number, but she couldn’t muster up the courage to call him.

She thought about the times they had spent together, the laughter, the tears, and the dreams they shared. She loved Neev deeply, but the thought of him with someone else tore her apart. Her heart and mind were in a fierce battle, with overthinking on one side and her love for Neev on the other.

"Was I not good enough?" Samaira said to herself. Suddenly, her phone buzzed with a message from Saisha.

"Samaira, have you talked to Neev? Should I call him?" Saisha had been a rock for Samaira during this time, but Samaira knew that involving her might complicate things even more.

"Nahi, Saisha. Please don’t call him. Main khud handle kar lungi," Samaira replied, trying to sound more confident than she felt.

She sat there for a while, watching the leaves rustle in the breeze, trying to calm the storm inside her. Memories of Neev’s smile, his reassuring words, and their shared dreams played in her mind like a broken record.

"Kya woh sab jhootha tha? Kya woh mujhe sach mein dhoka de raha hai?" she wondered aloud, feeling tears prick at the corners of her eyes.

"Humne school mein kitna accha time spend kiya...aur ab sab kuch achanak se khatam kaise ho sakta hai" Samaira thought as the tears streamed out from the corner of her eyes.

Hours passed, and the park started to empty out as the evening approached. Samaira decided to go back to her dorm, her mind still heavy with unanswered questions. As she walked back, she hoped that Neev would reach out, that he would have an explanation, and that somehow, they could fix this.

When she finally reached her room, she collapsed onto her bed, staring at the ceiling. She picked up her phone once more, staring at Neev's name on the screen.

"Neev, please... call me," she whispered, her voice breaking.

"Bass ek call karke keh do ki wo sab jhooth hai" samaira said as she buried her face in her pillow.

Samaira had spent the entire night tossing and turning, waiting for a response from Neev. When none came, she knew she couldn’t wait any longer. She decided to visit him at NLSIU and get to the bottom of this herself. She always believed that communication could solve even the biggest of disputes.

The next evening, she made her way to NLSIU, her heart pounding with anxiety. As she walked through the campus, she collided with a girl.

"Sorry," Samaira mumbled, looking up. The girl was drop-dead gorgeous, wearing a white corset crop top and a black bodycon skirt. Her aura screamed 'popular girl.'

"No problem," the girl replied, flashing a smile before walking away.

Samaira continued walking but then stopped in her tracks. She had noticed something—a ring on the girl’s finger. It was the exact same ring Neev had shown her on a video call a few days ago. He had told her he was buying it for Ishaani bhabhi.

Samaira’s heart sank as she connected the dots. Her worst fears seemed to be coming true.

She turned back and called out, "Excuse me!"

The girl turned around, looking a bit surprised. "Yes?"

"What's your name?" Samaira asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
