*8 YEARS LATER*
Neev and Samaira had always shared a special bond, one that had weathered the highs and lows of life. From their high school days, they were inseparable, their connection growing deeper with each passing year. Now, at 27, they were returning home from the United States, having achieved remarkable academic success.
Neev had pursued his master’s degree at the prestigious Harvard Law School. The journey had been challenging, with countless nights spent poring over legal texts and complex case studies. But through it all, he had kept his eye on the prize, driven by a desire to make a difference in the world of law.
Samaira, equally ambitious and dedicated, had spent the last several years at MIT, where she pursued her PhD in Physics. Her groundbreaking work had earned her recognition in academic circles, but it was the support and encouragement from her friends and family that had kept her grounded and focused.
They had conquered their academic goals, but one significant milestone remained on their list: getting married to each other.
Their love story was one for the ages, filled with moments of joy, shared dreams, and unwavering support. Neev remembered the day he first confessed his love to Samaira, a memory etched in his heart. Samaira recalled the late-night calls and heartfelt messages that had kept their love alive.
As the taxi pulled up to the familiar driveway, Neev felt a rush of nostalgia. It had been eight long years since he last saw this place, first spending five years in college in Bangalore, followed by three intense years in the US. The journey had been transformative, but nothing could compare to the comfort of home. As he stepped out of the car, he spotted his mother standing at the entrance, her eyes welling up with tears.
"Mom!" Neev shouted, running towards her. He enveloped her in a tight hug, feeling her warmth and love wash over him.
Meanwhile, Samaira arrived at her own home, where her family had gathered eagerly to welcome her back. Her father, with his usual stern yet loving demeanor, was the first to embrace her.
"Samaira, kitni badi ho gayi ho," he said, his voice trembling with pride.
As the evening wore on, both families celebrated the return of their beloved children. The homes were filled with laughter, stories, and the aroma of home-cooked meals.
3 DAYS LATER
Three days later, the air buzzed with excitement as the two families gathered at Neev's family mansion to discuss the upcoming wedding. The grand living room, adorned with fresh flowers and vibrant decorations, was filled with laughter and chatter. Neev and Samaira, sitting close to each other, couldn’t hide their excitement. Their eyes met frequently, and they both blushed, trying to cover their faces with their hands.
"Shadi ka name sunte hi kaise muh chupa rahe hai dono" Mahir said, making everyone laugh.
"Bhaiya!" Samaira exclaimed, half embarrassed, half amused, trying to hide her smile.
Neev leaned closer to Samaira and whispered, "Tumhe sharmate dekhna kaafi cute lagta hai."
Samaira blushed even more, nudging him gently, "Tum bhi na, Neev!"
Just then, the family priest arrived, carrying his books and charts. He was warmly welcomed and led to the center of the room, where everyone gathered around eagerly.
"Pandit ji, please find the most auspicious date for Neev and Samaira's wedding," Neev's father requested.
The priest nodded and began his calculations, chanting softly under his breath. After a few moments, he looked up and announced, "Sabse shubh tithi 2nd April ki hai."
