Tw: bad chapter

The room was tense for a moment.

Candice made sure to keep her guard up. Although these people have saved her they are also vampires.

"Who is this?" Claudia looked at this new girl with confusion. She didn't know how to react. They were not eating this girl but the room seemed very depressing.

"This, ma Cheri, is your new sister, Candice." Lestat spoke, almost proud. While he did not want another daughter this could possibly fix a few issues.

Claudia immediately look shocked. She never thought she'd have a sister. She liked being an only child, if anything the thought of a sister would've usually made her mad.

But she couldn't help but put on a happy and smile, clapping.

"Oh yes! I've always wanted an older sister!" She exclaimed, running up to Candice. The taller girl had to hold back a smile. This reaction was pleasant but also unexpected.

"Yes, and I'm just hoping you two can play nice, we don't need any fighting." Louis sighed with a smile, a bit more relieved.

"We won't." Both girls said in unison. Louis patted his shorter daughter's back proudly.

"Claudia, how about you go show Candice around a bit more while me and lestat get some more food." Claudia immediately nodded and ran off with Candice stumbling behind.

Lestat and Louis looked on until their children were gone before turning to each other.

"Aren't you excited?" Louis gleamed. That humanity. It always made lestat smile. Well occasionally.

"Oh, yes, my love, she seems she could be..fixed." The blonde man spoke, pulling out a handkerchief to wipe up a little blood.

He just wanted to keep Louis happy. Trapped. Especially with the way Louis would make him feel as though he would be lonely if he didn't.

This is the second time Louis has asked for a daughter. The second time he's got what he's wanted.

"Fix her? What do you mean fix her? We don't- we don't need to do any of that." The Moreno spoke.

"Have you seen her hair? And we need to fetch her new clothes, and a coffin, I can find one similar to Claudia's." He spoke calmly, not really excited.

"But, she might be good in the theater, useful." He reminded before making sure his shoes remained shiny.

"Cmon, can't you just be happy? We have two beautiful daught-" he was cut off.

"Lapdogs."

Even though Louis' heart wasn't breaking he still felt a pang of hurt and anger. That was the same thing he called Claudia before she was turned.

"Well you gotta like something about her. Maybe she'll be as flamboyant as you." He offered, causing the taller man to chuckle.

"I don't think she can compete with me. I am a golden storm." Beautiful but messy. Not tragic, but bittersweet.

"Yeah, guess we don't need anymore of those." He dared to joke, chuckling.

"You know what, why don't we get another meal." The white 'angel' offered.

"Yeah, how about we go do that." The black 'angel' spoke back, keeping his attitude at bay.

And with that they went out to the night for the next meal.

In the meantime Claudia had been doing a good job of showing Candice around.

"Ooh, you're so pretty! Okay! So this is the coffin room me and daddy lou, and uncle Les sleep. Then here- this is the actual bedrooms!"
