Jungkook and Jimin were back in the forest where they had narrowly escaped being torn apart by deadly monsters. By now, Jimin had almost assumed that Jungkook was not just a mere human. People once believed in ghosts and spirits, but fantasy creatures? Did they even exist? Was Jeon a hot werewolf Alpha? A blood-sucking handsome vampire? Was Jimin daydreaming? No, he couldn't be. This was real. Namjoon could see Jungkook, Yoongi could talk with Jungkook, and his security guards addressed him as Sir Jeon. This was indeed real.
Jungkook looked hot when he was serious, with his deadly gorgeous serene eyes. They were doe-shaped yet beautifully cute and alluring at the same time, giving Jimin a hard time controlling his new feelings. Jungkook, the water emperor, was scanning the place with his sharp gaze and ultra-sensitive hearing. He knew they were somewhere near his sword. Jimin was right; taking things one step at a time, the human was correct. He just needed to find the location first, then he could come up with a proper plan to retrieve his sword from his enemies.
Jimin had been informed that Jungkook was looking for his traditional old sword, which had been in his family for ages. Jimin found it hard to believe that Jungkook was risking his life for just an old sword. But nevertheless, Jimin was trying to help find it. Wouldn't it be nearly impossible to find a sword in this dense, never-ending, huge, creepy forest? They searched everywhere they could but found nothing. After what felt like an eternity, Jimin's gaze fell on a weird stone structure. It looked like there was an entrance behind the huge boulder, possibly a hidden cave. He knew if Jungkook's sword was important, it wouldn't be lying on some tree branch or randomly buried in the ground. He felt the need to check this place. Jimin was sharp-witted, with a mind that worked wonders when needed.
"Jeon, I think we need to check behind these stones. They give me the vibe of a hidden cave from a movie," Jimin said, his face glistening with sweat, hair sticking to his forehead from their hard search for Jungkook's sword.
"Are you sure? I don't know much about land. I'm not sure, but..." Jungkook started to say nonchalantly but was met with a doubtful, angry Jimin.
"Don't know much about land? You talk as if you live in air and water. What does that mean..." Jimin asked but was cut off by Jungkook before he could finish.
"Isn't it weird no monsters have attacked us so far? I'm still weak if they pop up out of nowhere," Jungkook said, changing the topic.
"Do you think you can just change the topic? Nevertheless, I've got guns, bullets, and water sprays with me. Couldn't think of any other ways to deal with them," Jimin said, showing his backpack. "And I think we won't encounter them anytime soon."
"What makes you say so, Park?"
"Last time we were attacked, it was almost midnight. Why do you think I brought you here at dawn? The sun will rise soon. If they're scared of water, I assume they won't show up in daylight," Jimin said in a low voice, receiving judgmental looks from Jungkook.
"Are you sure you're just a normal human?" Jungkook asked in disbelief.
"Look, according to the movies, vampires and demons usually aren't active during the day. So I felt if they're dark powers, I mean monsters, they won't show up in the sun," Jimin said, thinking hard, and Jungkook chose to stay quiet. As they continued searching for some crack in the stone wall, Jimin asked, "You think your brother will send backup if something goes wrong? Last time, the phone didn't work where we were attacked."
"We've got walkie-talkies. They work fine over a wide range, so no worries. I've asked Yoongi hyung to look after us if needed," Jimin assured as his foot hit a weird stone, causing it to move suddenly. Both were shocked, their eyes wide.
Jungkook became cautious when he saw a bright magical blue light emitting from the cave, illuminating the entire area. Jimin wasn't sure what it was, but Jungkook could feel it. He sensed the presence of his royal sword. His fists clenched tightly, his knuckles turning white as he felt the presence of all the demons surrounding his sword. He knew the Demon Emperor wouldn't leave the sword to mere monsters. Jungkook also sensed the presence of the Demon Hell Guards. Before Jimin could utter a sound, Jungkook had cupped Jimin's mouth.
He knew there was no way he could fight these demons in his human form, especially with his body weakened from being away from water for more than a week. He needed to regain his supreme powers and then rescue his holy sword. He couldn't risk this precious human's life.
"Jimin, do not make a sound and do as I say, please," Jungkook quietly whispered in the human's ear. Jimin nodded silently. He wasn't foolish enough to make a fuss, especially seeing the dead serious look on Jungkook's face. Jungkook instructed Jimin to get back as much as possible, not wanting the monsters to get to him. A part of him didn't want Jimin to see the fantasy magic he was involved with.
While Jimin waited at a distance, Jungkook sneakily observed that his sword was surrounded by blue hellfire, controlled only by the Demon Emperor. To retrieve his sword, he needed to be in his supreme water emperor form to withstand the hellfire and regain his absolute powers.
They moved far away from the cave, their hearts racing. By now, they had run from the depths of the forest. Jimin could see the tension in Jungkook's eyes. He couldn't ignore the fact that he had seen the same blue light in Jungkook's serene blue eyes.
"It's there, isn't it? Your sword?" Jimin asked, catching his breath. Jungkook nodded.
"Then why did you run away? Was it too late, Jungkook?" Jimin asked, not knowing why.
"Not yet! Thanks to you, Jimin, it's not late. I need to get my people and brother back here. I'm not capable of taking it alone right now," Jungkook replied, thousands of thoughts running through his mind.
"Ah, that's better. What have you decided next? Is there anything else you want me to help with since we found the location? As per my promise, we found it," Jimin said, unsure where this was going. He was now very sure that Jungkook was some kind of supernatural creature, but he wasn't afraid to be close to him.
"I need to urgently go back to my homeland. Can you help me with that? Please, Jimin. After this, I won't bother you," Jungkook asked, knowing that swimming from the Pacific to the Atlantic wasn't quick, even for a water emperor. He couldn't teleport because he had weakened in his human body.
"Don't worry about that. My private jet will get you there. But for now, let's head back to the villa before any monster attacks us again," Jimin said reassuringly. Jungkook was now tense about the locket around his neck, a blue amethyst for contacting his people in the ocean from land. He didn't know where he had lost it. Could this get any worse?
When they reached Jimin's villa, the human took Jungkook to his bedroom and asked him to sit on the couch. Jungkook was lost in thought, needing to find his locket. He needed to contact Taehyung, his brother, as soon as possible. That's when he saw Jimin shuffling through his nightstand.
"Maybe you're looking tense because of this, Jeon?" Jimin said, dangling the locket chain in front of Jungkook's eyes.
"Where did you get this from?" Jungkook asked, shocked.
"It had fallen here in my bedroom when I first saw you barging in. I didn't know where it came from, but now I'm sure it's yours," Jimin said, putting the chain around Jungkook's neck. The atmosphere heated up as the scene looked like something out of a romance novel.
Jimin's fingers touched Jungkook's neck in the process. As the chain hung around his neck, Jimin softly brushed his fingers over Jungkook's skin. He didn't know why he was doing that, but Jungkook's presence was driving him crazy day by day.
