Jungkook held back a sharp breath as he locked up his room when Jimin left, asking him to join for dinner in a few minutes. Jungkook knew that something was quite different with Jimin. The way this human was already too cunning and sharp-witted, Jungkook assumed that he must have somehow figured out that he was different. But Jimin neither wanted to believe it nor admit it. Jungkook began his trail of thoughts as he always heard tales of how humans are the most cruel and selfish living creatures in this universe. There are many good and bad people, but mostly humans, these mortals, even if they're good, have harmful tendencies to use others for their benefit. Quite frankly, humans are selfish creatures who see nothing beyond their minute or huge desires for one thing or another.

What if Jimin is one of them? The cold CEO doesn't seem like he's even breathing when he doesn't see the graphs of his profits rising. But again, Jungkook couldn't defy the fact that Jimin was the only person who saved him by keeping his own life at stake and had helped him ever since so selflessly. What does this mean now? Was Jimin actually doing it for some weird stranger without any reasons of profit?

Even if Jungkook ignored this fact about humans, how would Jimin react upon the revelation of his truth about being a supernatural creature, more specifically, a merman emperor? Jungkook just knows that his heart, after thousands of years of waiting, was finally fond of someone, but that wasn't any other supernatural creature but a human instead. Jungkook didn't know what to expect further. He is beginning to fall for Park Jimin. What if things go south? What if Jimin began hating him? Surely Jimin wouldn't get scared of him after seeing how the human fought vigorously with those demon monsters.

Wouldn't Jimin want a normal human just like him to give his heart to? With no tensions to save a whole damn empire and the responsibilities Jungkook comes with dealing with the entire water bodies of this universe, the constant wars and battles taking place between different emperors for the quest of that magical crystal. Why would Jimin get himself into this crazy mess? Just for him, just for the stranger who was crushing on him?

But then I just can't stop thinking about him. Cherishing this moment right here, right now, is what I will be doing. Watching him smile at me and when those mesmerizing almond-like orbs turn into crescents will swell my heart with happiness, even if it's temporary. Will I ever find my true mate? At this point, I've even lost hope of considering having one mate. I've been waiting for thousands of years, not just 10 or 100, but never found that pull of a mate with anyone. I wish Jimin to be my mate, but that could never happen. Then why do I feel that weird string of pull towards this human? Perhaps, is he my real mate?

Forget it, I should immediately talk with Taehyung and inform him about the plan. That's when I touched the pendant around my neck, which Jimin had put on me, rubbing the pendant with my fingertips, and as I closed my eyes to connect myself with the person I want to from the water realm. As Jungkook, the water emperor, closed his eyes, a flame of blue glittering light surrounded the pendant, and Taehyung's virtual image popped out in front of Jungkook's eyes like a screen.
