Uris: A Twist {Divergent}

Chapter 3

*I have decided I will skip initiation and basically what happens, happens in the actual book. e.g. Fourtris* **Uriah and Tris never spoke again after Chapter 2, but they observed each other...**

Tris' POV

Today is the day of the choosing ceremony. Tobias and I walk around with the rest of our friends getting ready for the new initiates.

I have to go and get the non-dauntless born initiates room ready. Guess who was meant to do that? Uriah and Zeke. A week ago.

I know a fast way to get to the dorm room, so I take a turn at the end of the corridor and open the hidden door. It looks like a door except for the random hole at the bottom, which helps you open it. As I walk through the door, I see Tobias. And Marlene. Kissing.

I run up to Four and slap him hard. I immediately see a blood red hand print on his face. I move over to Marlene and curse at the both of them.

I run around the corner and fall onto someone. Uriah. I jump up and launch myself onto him. I whisper," I missed you," and he whispers the same thing back.

Uriah asks me,"So exactly what did you see?"

"I saw Four and Marlene kissing in a corridor. A secret one. They could have been cheating on us for ages! Marlene could have been cheating on you for longer," I break into sobs and Uriah and I sit on my couch. It won't be mine for much longer, though.

I then say to him in a calm voice, free from sobs,"Uriah Pedrad. I have loved you since the I first saw you. Even if everything around is messed up, we are not," Just as I say that Uriah turns on my stereo and 'A Thousand Years' comes on and we start singing it.

Heart beats fast

Colors and promises

We then just stand there, lost in the moment. Staring at each other. We then break into sobs. But we know it is ok because we have each other.

I just realised everything I said Shauna instead of Marlene... And 'I saw Tobias and Shauna kissing a corridor' and on top of that I said 'Tobias' instead of 'Four'.
