SEI IL SOLE DELLA MIA VITA - (TNN - CHARLOTTE/MIA)

CHAPTER ONE

Once upon a time the thought that Charlotte would allow Mia into her life and into her heart had been a distant dream. Simply being around Charlotte had made Mia's heart ache, as she dreamed of a life that she'd never live and a beautiful angel that she'd never hold safely in her arms.

Mia was fully aware that most people thought she was heartless. She often imagined a ten year old Mia meeting the adult version that existed today. Each time, she'd imagine how utterly devastated that sweet little girl would be and she'd desperately wish that she could turn back the clock. She wasn't heartless, but she was bitter and she was hurt so sometimes she lashed out.

Now that she had Charlotte, Mia finally felt hopeful for the future. All she'd ever wanted was someone to spoil but underneath her tough exterior, Mia was scared. She couldn't bear the thought of revealing her true heart to another, only to have them damage it further. That's why she'd stuck with Reece for so long, he kept coming back to her and they both knew they weren't in love. How much can someone you're not actually in love with really hurt you?

The red head was completely lost in her thoughts as she made Charlottes bed, humming to herself as she did so. She'd already tidied the kitchen and unloaded the dishwasher. Mia wanted to do whatever she could to make her girlfriend's life easier, Charlotte worked so hard but she never seemed to receive the same energy from others. Once she was satisfied with her work, Mia locked up and hurried over to her car. She was so excited to surprise Charlotte and she couldn't wait to see the look of astonishment on her sweet angels face.

As she walked into the nursery, she spotted Agatha. Although they hadn't met yet, Charlotte had told Mia all about the new addition and honestly, the red head was intrigued - Agatha sounded hilarious. As she approached the reception desk she watched as the older women's eyes widened in surprise. Before Mia could speak Agatha remarked "so your the infamous mean red head, here in the flesh. The pictures of you simply don't do you justice." Mia could tell immediately that she'd been right - Agatha was hilarious. Mia smirked before replying "no, I'm much better in person."

Just at that moment, she heard her favourite voice. Charlotte was watching her, wide eyed as she simply said "hello." She sounded as though she couldn't quite believe what she was seeing. Instantly Mia's eyes lit up as she turned to face her girlfriend.

"Hello sweetheart."
