With the Olympics almost upon us, it's only fair to offer you a sporty prompt for our June challenge:
Sports are important for many people — a way to keep fit, to compete, or to unite with friends to support a favourite team. And sports might be important in the near and distant future. But they might look vastly different from what we know today...
For this SciFriday challenge, we ask you to take a the plunge and write a science fiction story about sport ... but don't forget, in the end, there can be only one winner.

A few rules:
From surfing on solar flares to wimot racing, everything goes that can be perceived as sport. Your story must be written in English, though, and qualify as science fiction. It can be a maximum of 2500 words long.
Please publish the story on your Wattpad profile — either as a stand-alone story or a chapter in an existing anthology. Only one chapter, please.
