It has been 2 weeks since Tom and Violet kissed and everything was amazing, Violet is the happiest she's been in a while and Tom was seen smiling more than ever. They see each other every day, every night and every morning. They are blooming with feelings, Tom is slowly realizing that he maybe feels something for the first time. Violet was never in a relationship, she was never too interested in boys and Tom was far away from being one, he was a man, a gentleman. He was treating her like a princess, whatever the problem was he would solve it. They were seeing each other in secret and were trying hard for no one suspect them being together. To be honest Tom wasn't trying that hard as he moved her to sit in front of him in class and would look at her during his teaching, and Violet was sure that him saying to her every single day to stay after class was unusual to the rest of the students. She surely noticed jealous looks from the girls and even a few from Belle.

She liked his company, his wit and knowledge, whenever Tom spoke she would learn something, some new spell or she would hear something about a magical creature that she had never heard of in her life, as far as she noticed Tom was very interested in things that were forbidden, things he should not be interested in. He constantly talked about dark magic and the superiority of pure bloods over muggle-borns, he talked about how the world needs change and how the Ministry of Magic does a terrible job keeping the peace.

He was right as always, protests happen every day, someone is always dissatisfied, sqibs claim that they should have the same rights as ordinary wizards, but if the ministry approved it, the rest of the Wizarding world would revolt, the same goes for muggle-borns who protest, the Minister of Magic tried to give them rights  but the number of pure-blood workers in the ministry has halved, and all of them would have quit their jobs as a sign of dissatisfaction if he had declared them equal.

Their world was falling apart, murders were happening every day and they could never catch the culprit, a group of masked wizards come out of the dark at night, install fear in people and kill innocents, they kill children, women, men, it doesn't matter to them, their only connection is to kill anyone who supports the idea of the equality of all wizards. One of the things that proved this theory right was the murder of Alicia Powerfox.

Alicia Powerfox was a young journalist who Violet always admired, she always had strong opinions on the world and didn't feel any shame to show those opinions.  Alicia finished Hogwarts few years back and was a friend of her brother Julius, well she was in the same year as him, Violet had met her when she was younger and even then noticed her strong attitude. She wrote about everything which troubled their kind. She stated in her last article that she sees muggles not so different than us and that muggle-borns are equal and same as pure-blood wizards, Alicia even said that some muggle-borns have stronger magical abilities than most pure-bloods. She mentioned that having a relationship with a muggle wasn't so bad at all, that it even had some perks.

The article was supported by many and it had raised awareness but unfortunately the fame of muggle-borns ended shortly as the day after publishing that article her body was found in a small dark alley in her hometown barely recognizable. It wasn't hidden on purpose, her killer wanted her to be found, to send a message that anyone who thought she same as her would end up the same, that night when she was killed there was a sign of death flying in the sky, a skull with a snake passing through it, that sign meant death in the last few months, it meant that they were there.

Violet was safe from all that chaos here at Hogwarts, she knew that whoever lead those things wasn't too brave to face Dumbledore.  As much as she didn't like him she couldn't lie and say that Dumbledore was weak because he wasn't, he was the most powerful wizard she knew. The thing that made her feel even more safe was Tom, he was always there, watching her, following her every move, to Violet as she was so young that didn't bother her, she saw it as sweet. She felt safe in his embrace, safer then in anyone's embrace. When his large and strong hands held her tiny body she was able to defeat the devil himself. Right now she laid in his lap, he stroked her long hair with his fingers
