Listen to Me - First Part
Jessica woke up because of the ringing sound of her phone. She tried ignoring it a few minutes ago, but once it stopped it started ringing again. Glancing at the clock on her nightstand, it said 5:08, she sighed to herself and sat up."This better be important." she picked up the still ringing phone and answered it.
"What?" No need sugar coating her word, this person on the other line should know that they had disturbed the princess' sleep and they better had a good reason for that, or else.
"Jessica-shi, sorry for disturbing." The voice of her manager greeted her, she rolled her eyes at the statement, he didn't sound sorry at all.
"It's okay, what's up?" She just wanted to get over this quickly and go back to sleep again.
"The board told me to ask you this question..." Her manager sounded unsure. He was never that close with Jessica, so it was obvious that there was something bothering him. She couldn't help but wonder what the board wanted to do with her though.
"Okay, what is it?" she started to sound annoyed right now, but she couldn't care less. Let her manager think that she was scary, everyone did anyway, not a big deal.
"Are you dating Kwon Tyler?"
-
Jessica swore she never wanted to kill someone as much as she wanted to with whoever was spreading that-ridiculous news!
She walked briskly out of the office with her manager trailing behind her. After talking and convincing the board that there was nothing going on with her and Tyler, she got back inside the van and angrily crossed her arms, waiting for her slow manager to come and get her to her next schedule.
She didn't know why but she really needed to explain this whole stupid situation to someone, well, she actually knew the reason why, but she wouldn't admit it now.
They had a schedule on a music show today so he was supposed to pick up Hyoyeon first before the other girls, as her place was closer. But, Jessica managed to push him into changing that route. The second her manager entered the van, she scolded him and told him to get her to the dorm as quickly as possible. Sometimes, she regretted her decision for moving out. But she reassured herself that it was for the best.
Well, screw that reason. She just need to get to the dorm, now.
-
"Well guys, look who's here. This is the girl trending all over the news!" Sooyoung loudly said for the whole dorm to hear, the younger girl was dragging the helpless Jessica inside the dorm with her long strides. Everyone in the living room turned their head to the said girl, and started whistling and teasing Jessica.
"A millionare huh, Sica?" Yuri chirped from the couch she was sitting with Taeyeon and Sunny. The other girls started to jump into teasing Jessica, who could only groan helplessly.
"Listen to me first will you girls?" Having had enough of the weird teasing, Jessica took a seat on the farthest end of the couch. She looked at everyone in hope that they will stay quiet and listen, but after a while, she noticed that one person was missing.
"Wait, where's Tiffany?" She would not start talking unless the object of her whole distress this morning was present. Everyone stayed quiet, but always trust Sooyoung to break the silence.
"She went ahead first." Sooyoung shrugged, the other girls nodded at that.
"What!?" Jessica face palmed herself, if she knew that Tiffany had went ahead first, she would've told her manager to take her to the tv station instead.
"Oh come on, you can tell her later. Now what do you want to talk, Sica?" Jessica ignored the leader's question and marched to the door instead, she heard the other girls trying to stop her from leaving but she didn't care. She needed to see Tiffany, now.
-
"Hey come on, stop sulking." Sunny poked Jessica's cheek for the fourth time in the van ever since they had settled themselves inside. The older girl was mad at the members. She had forgotten that they were supposed to go together, making her wait for almost 30 minutes inside the van waiting for the girls to finish up preparing. She felt embarrassed because she had ran all the way to the parking lot, only to be remembered by her manager that they were supposed to ride together and go pick up Hyoyeon afterwards.
"Why do you want to see Tiffany so badly anyway? You can always tell us first you know, we feel sad." Yuri said from the seat behind her, the girl was right, Jessica felt bad for doing that to the members. She knew that her members mean no harm. "I'm sorry guys, I guess I'm just stressed because of the stupid rumor." She mumbled loud enough for rest of the girls to listen.
"Wait, so you're not dating that Kwon guy?" Yoona caught on to the meaning behind Jessica's words.
"Yeah well duh, if I date him or anyone, I would tell you guys first." Jessica said honestly, why would she hide something as important as her relationship from the members? The girls let out a relieved sigh. "Figures. I was wondering when I saw the news why we never heard of it before." The members nodded at what Sooyoung said. "Phew, I was afraid we have to do the relationship talk again." Taeyeon shuddered, "It was hard enough with Sooyoung and Yoona." She added. The girls talked about everything, despite their busy schedule, they always had time for a good 5-minute-talk about the latest news regarding themselves. It was necessary to keep the bond because they didn't live together anymore, some of them had moved out after all.
Jessica smiled appreciatively at her members, she was grateful for having these girls as her sister. They really understand her.
"Anyway, where's Hyoyeon, she's taking too long!" Jessica whined again, everyone groaned. Knowing that they had to stand another minutes with the whiny princess.
"Somebody get Tiffany here!"
-
After explaining everything to the clueless Hyoyeon and arriving at the music station, the girls went to the waiting room to begin the rehearsal.
Jessica searched around the room for that one missing person frantically, she was glad to see the figure she had been looking for emerging from the door.
Tiffany already had her makeup done, she was still wearing her casual outfit though (Jessica still think she looked beautiful in that-or anything else). The show didn't start in 3 more hours anyway. Jessica skipped her way to the other girl who hadn't noticed her presence yet.
"Oh, hi." The girl greeted, lacking the usual high tone Jessica knew the girl possessed. Now that Jessica was face to face with the girl she had been wanting to see ever since she heard of the news, she didn't know what to do. She saw the face she had been dreaming earlier this morning before that dreaded phone call ruined everything.
"Tiff, I really need to talk to you. Can we talk somewhere else more quite?" She pulled out the courage to ask that question, what she was about to explain to Tiffany was something that nobody should know besides the two of them.
Tiffany refused to look at her in the eyes, she was taking her time to give Jessica the answer and Jessica noticed that. However, before Tiffany could say anything, the stylist interrupted them and asked if Tiffany was ready to get her hair styled. Without even sparing Jessica a glance, Tiffany walked away from her and followed the stylist. Jessica almost wanted to pull the girl back, but knew that she was in a public place, and snapping would mean trouble.
So she sighed to herself in sorrow instead
