Seeing the Father I Don't Recognize

Prologue

Kristina comes out of the ballroom so she can get some wedding cake when she instantly is stopped in her tracks when she sees with nothing but fear in her eyes at seeing her father beating up Dex while he isn't fighting back or doing anything to make her father stop until Jason rushes over and gets in between them to hear him say.

"I'm going to put a gun in your heads!"

Sonny yells at both Dex and Jason when they hear something fall and break only for all three men turn to see a very worried and scared Kristina on the verge of tears before she quickly turns around and runs back towards the restroom.

"Kristina. It's not what you think. Wait, wait, wait. No, no, no. Kristina."

Sonny struggles to get away from Jason.

"Get off of me! "

"Dex! Go!"

Dex looks at both them while before rushing out of the balloon.

"Dex! Go! Get out of here!"

Sonny tries to go after Dex but is held back by Jason.

"No! You're not going after him!"

"Screw him! What about Kristina! Let go of me!  What did she see?"

Kristina soon gets to the bathroom closing the door and walks towards the sink before she does her best to try and calm herself down as she pulls out her phone and calls Ali.

"Ali, I need you. I'm in the bathroom across through the ballroom. Please hurry."

She continues to try and calm herself down as tears also continue to fall down her face.

Just then Sonny rushes inside the women's bathroom out of breath.

"Hey. Let me explain."

Kristina turns around to see her father standing right in front of her out of breath while she is well on the verge of tears.

Sonny stands right in front of Kristina who is standing there looking very confused and very scared.

"Just. Can you listen to me?"

Kristina shakes her head.

"No."

"Listen. Okay, sweetheart. Dex and Jason they turned on - -

Kristina shakes her head while putting her hands over her ears.

"Stop. No. I don't want to hear this anymore."

Sonny walks towards her.

"No, don't. Don't please. "

Kristina replies back to him.

"You don't have to be afraid of me. Don't be afraid of me. Don't ever be afraid of me. You understand?"

Sonny replies back to her.

"Just go please."

Kristina replies back to her father.

Sonny leaves the restroom only for Ali to arrive a few minutes later to see Kristina on the floor and in tears.

Ali then walks in quickly closing the door and rushing to her side.

"Kristina, babe do we need to go to the hospital?"

"No, no. It's not it's not the baby. It's my dad."

"Did something happen to your father?"

"I know. He was - he was he was beating Dex. He was he punching him. He attacked him. He was kicking him. He said that he was going to kill him."

"You sound short of breath."

"It's it's it's not the baby it's my dad. I told you. I feel like such a fool. Josslyn tried to tell me, TJ, Dex. Everyone, everyone tried to tell me all this time and I I just didn't believe them. I thought I that I knew him better than anyone. My dad I knew and he had this code for ethics all the time I've just been defending him over and over and over again. I've just been defending him and I don't even know who that man was. I don't recognize him. He was so angry and he was so violent and he said he was going to kill him. He said he would empty a gun in their heads. That is who my dad is. I didn't even realize it."

Ali looks at Kristina as she holds out her hand for her to take.

"Let's go to my room. You can take a bath and get into some comfy clothes."

Kristina looks up at Ali.

"I don't want to be alone."

"I won't leave you alone."
