The Pack

I had been apart of the pack for a few weeks now. To celebrate Elliots birthday yesterday we threw a party, and I had woken up on the couch with a pounding headache. " Goodmorning, Taylor. " Hayes said coming down the stairs quietly. " Shhh " I groaned. I heard a chuckle from the kitchen and a few minutes later he walked into the living room with a mug. He lifted my feet and sat down, placing my feet gently on top of his lap. " Sit up and take a drink " he said plainly. " Aren't I the alpha " I joked and sat up to take a drink of the tea he had made. He didn't answer me, he just rested his head on the back of the couch and looked at me. I handed him the cup back and laid back down. 

I woke up to loud footsteps coming down the stairs. I propped myself up to find Hayes still sitting there with me. " Well you two look cozy " Finley said making his way to the couch. " She fell asleep, a gentleman would stay until she woke up " he stated. " And she's not too bad to look at huh Hayesy " Amelia said coming in from the kitchen. I laughed to myself and sat up straight on the couch to give her a place to sit. Elliot and Hannah soon after joined us in the living room, and we all simply spent the day together. The pack asked a bunch of questions about me, and I them. " I'm going to go clean up the backyard a bit, I saw some cans laying around " I said standing up. Hayes nodded and stood up with me, I had caught him a few times looking at me, and I think the pack did too. " You know she's a grown woman right. She doesn't need you to protect her " Finley said coldly. " Finley he's fine, I could use the help. Hayes not a word back to him " I stated. " Look at her little alpha insticts kicking in already " Amelia laughed. Finley slightly pouted, while Hayes had a confident smirk on his face. I elbowed him lightly and made my way to the backyard. 

A few days had passed, and we all laid in the living room, bored out of our minds. " What if we go to the beach " Elliot shouted out. I laughed and listened to the pack go back and forth on the topic. Hayes was being most rational, talking about how we'd get there and where we'd stay. Amelia said we could take two cars and she would find a place for us. " I'm in " I shrugged, " Could use a tan " I laughed. Amelia immediatley pulled out her phone and started looking for a place, about 30 minutes later she annouced she had found a nice airbnb for us on a beach front in Florida. " We leave tomorrow morning! " she said excitedly and rushed to her room. " Well this is spontaneous " I said getting up to go pack. I was getting my clothes together when I heard a faint knock on my door. I turn to be met by Hannah, we hadn't spoken too much but from our conversations we did have, I gathered that she was a very sweet, confident girl. She came in with a big light pink suitcase, " I didn't know if you would have one big enough, I know you didn't bring much from your old home " she said with a small smile. " Thank you Hannah, I was wondering how I would fit all my stuff in the small ones I brought with me " I laughed and sat on my bed, gesturing her to sit with me. She sat on my bed across from me and looked around my room, we sat and talked about random stuff for awhile, but eventually she brought up Hayes. " Hayes sure did take a liking to you " she said nudging me lightly with a laugh. " He's just being friendly " I said feeling a slight rush to my cheeks. " If that's what you think " she winked and stood up, " Let me know if you need anything else " she added with a smile and left. 

I brought my suitcase down to the car and put it infront of the trunk. " So whats the car situation? " Finley asked looking at me, I turned to see the whole pack looking at me for the answer. " Do we all have a license? " I asked. " Only Me, Hayes, and Elliot" Finley answered. " Well I have mine too, so let's do two drivers to a car so we can take breaks. Who wants to come with me? " I asked. " I will " they all say in unison. I laughed and said " You work that out amoungst yourselves ". " But you're the alpha? " Elliot said. " And I'm delegating " I said lifting my suitcase into the trunk then turning to him with a smile. Hayes chuckled and looked at Finley. " Me and Amelia will go with Taylor " he said plainly. " Why do you get to go with her " Elliot huffed. " Yeah no fair " Finley added. " Alright, actually I'm fine driving down the whole way, Amelia and Hannah " I said pointing to the car. The girls laughed and got in, I looked at Hayes who had an annoyed expression. " It's the most fair " I said plainly and walked over to the boys, " Call if you guys need to stop anywhere, be safe " I said pulling them all into a group hug. " Phone works both ways, Tay " Elliot said charmingly. Hayes scoffed at him and stepped back, " Be careful, Taylor. Let me know if you need a break from driving. It's a long way " he said going to the drivers seat of his car. " Bye guys " I said going to the drivers seat of mine. " That was tense " Amelia said after I shut the door. " Could cut the tension with a knife " I replied. " I don't know why they're acting so territorial " I said pulling onto the road. " Because they're horndogs, literally " Hannah laughed from the backseat, " But seriously they're fighting for their alpha's attention, its pretty common among male wolves when they have a female alpha " she added. " Isn't it like agains the rules to date someone in your pack " I joked. " There's no rules, it's just a dangerous game " Amelia said. " Explain " I reply. " Ya know, if you were to date one of them and break up, it makes it awkward. I dated Elliot a while ago and it's still weird sometimes " Amelia said. " Why'd you break up? " I asked. " He had just joined the pack and we just rushed into a relationship, I still have so much love for him. Just bad timing " she shrugged. " What about you Hannah? " I asked. " I know those men too well. Plus I don't think I really want to date a wolf " she replied. " Buttt Hayes really has an eye for youu " Hannah started again. " So you're seriously team Hayes? The emotionless, strict, mean one? Finley is sweet and a gentleman and kind " Amelia said turning to the backseat. " Please, Finley acts like a child, he's competitive and would probably only want to be with Taylor as some revenge plot against Hayes " Hannah added. " Taylor, you and Finley would literally have the cutest kids " Amelia said turning toward me. " Woah, kids? I met this man a month ago " I laughed. " But we have a lifetime together, might as well start now " she shrugged. I shook my head and kept driving. 

After a few hours later, Hayes called. I answered after Amelia boo'd the interuption of our song " Hey what's up? " I asked. " We're hungry " Elliot shouted. " We need gas, do you? " Hayes asked. " Not really but we can stop with you guys " I replied. " Alright, get off at the next rest stop. Be careful " he added. " You too " I answered and hung up. " See how dry he is? ' get off at the next rest stop ' " Amelia mocked. I laughed and Hannah replied " At least he told her to be safe, did Finley even say Hi to her? Didn't think sooo " Hannah said smugly.  I turned up the music until we pulled into the gas station. I pulled in by a pump and got out. I took a moment to stretch and walked over to the pump as the rest of the pack went inside the gas station. Hayes walked over to me after he was done pumping his own gas, " Hey, you doing alright? You look tired, Finley can drive my car and I'll drive yours if you want " he said sweetly looking down at me. " That would be great actually, I'm getting pretty tired " I replied. " Well how sweet of you Hayes " Hannah said coming back from the gas station with the rest of the pack, she looked at Amelia with a faint smirk. I shook my head and took the pump out of the tank, " Where's that put us " Elliot asked. " Loverboy wants Ta- " Finley started. " Actually I'm fine to drive, see you guys there we only have about 4 hours left " I said opening my door. " Taylor you don't have to drive " Finley said. " It's fine, really " I said reassuringly. " How about I drive? " Elliot asked. " I can go with Finley and Hayes " Hannah offered. " You can have shotgun " Amelia smiled. " Thank you " I said looking at all of them and walked around to the passenger side. 

Hannahs POV 

" You're both idiots " I said getting in the backseat. My statement was met by both of them scoffing and turning around to face me. " You both are going to drive her away acting like this. It's been like a month, what happened to getting to know a person " I said rolling my eyes. " But to be clear, I'm team Hayes " I said settling into my seat. The boys exchanged looks and settled into their own. " All I'm saying is she isn't going to want to be with either of you if you keep acting like children. " I added. " I'm not acting like a child, he is " Hayes said calmly. " That in itself was a childish thing to say Hayes " I replied. Finley laughed at my remark, " Don't get me started with you, why Amelia's on your side I don't understand. ". " You having sides is chidish " Hayes scoffed.
