"I've got an idea," Seth said at the meeting.

I nodded. "Let's hear it."

"Our goal is to stop Paige, so how about we turn the tables on her?"

"How," Dean asked.

Seth pointed at Nikki. "Remember how Paige told John you were out with Ambrose?" She nodded. "Well, how about we do that, but at first we don't let her get the satisfaction?"

I shook my head. "You're losing me."

He leaned in closer. "It would go something like this..."

The Bellas are walking down the hallway, talking to each other.

"I just can't believe it," Nikki says to Brie.

"I know. They were so cute together." Brie sighs. "I don't know why she would do that to him."

"Do what, to whom?" Paige asks, as the Bellas come to a halt.

They exchange glances and Nikki shakes her head. "We can't tell you."

Brie nods. "Yeah, no offense Paige, but you can't exactly keep a secret."

Paige nods profusely, "I can keep a secret. Scout's honor."

Nikki glances at Brie, then back at Paige, letting out a sigh. "Alright, if you must know." She leans in to whisper to her. "We saw Asher talking to Dean in catering, and they were looking a little friendly."

"Too friendly," Brie adds. "I'd keep your man away from Asher if I were you."

They walk away on that note, giving each other a high-five behind Paige's back. A text comes through on my phone.

From: Brie

Paige should be there in about a minute.

I slide the phone in my pocket and glance up at Dean. "Okay, Paige is coming. Put your arms around my waist."

Dean raises his eyebrows. "Are you crazy, Helmsley? Me and your boy Sethie just got back on the same side. I don't want to give him another reason to hit me in the back with a steel chair."

"This was his plan."

"Yeah, well it's a dumbass plan."

I roll my eyes. "Hard way it is."

"What are yo-," I step on his foot and he lets out a yell, throwing his arms forward. I take them and wrap them around my waist, and wrap mine around his neck. I pull him close to me.

I peek out the corner of my eye to see Paige round the corner. I close them quickly and start rubbing Dean's back in circular motions. Whispering to him. From Paige's end, it probably looks like I'm whispering sweet nothings, but I'm actually saying, "Shut the hell up, I didn't step on your foot that hard."

I open my eyes to see Paige gone, so I push Dean away from me. "Get in position."

He nods and says sarcastically, "Yeah, let me just limp my way there."

I pull out my phone to send a text to Seth.

To: Seth

Brit is on the lookout for you. Make yourself easy to spot.

From: Seth

You got it sweetheart ;)

Seth put his phone into his pocket and started nonchalantly looking around for Paige. He turns a corner and runs right into her.

Seth looks at her breathing heavy. "Paige, what's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost."

She slows her breathing. "No time to explain. Catering now." She grabs Seth's hand and drags him to catering.

"I don't get it," Seth says when they get there. "What did you want me to see?"

Dean is sitting down at a table by himself, earphones in and is the only one there.

Paige looks around. "But they were...he...she," she let's out a low growl. "Asher."

"Somebody say my name," I say, coming around the corner. I walk right up to Seth and kiss him on the lips in front of Paige. I pull away and look at her. "Hey Paige. Still loving the hair."

She ignores me and marches over to Dean, yanking the earphones out of his ears. Dean nods acknowledging her. "Oh, hey Paige. What's up?"

"'What's up?' What's up is I just saw you hugging Asher. Are you cheating on me?"

Dean stands up, outraged. "What?! How dare you accuse me of something like that again? Do you not trust me Paige? And if you don't, why'd you agree to go out with me again?"

That Ambrose was great at making other people look like the bad guy.

Paige looks shocked. "It's not that it," he cuts her off.

"No, save it. You don't trust me, and I know it. I thought you got past that Paige." Dean shakes his head and stalks off. Paige sends us one more glance, before hurrying after him.

Me and Seth look at each other with serious expressions before we both burst out laughing.

"Priceless," Seth says.

"Tell me about it."

When our laughing ceases, Seth holds out a fist.

I stare at it, raising an eyebrow.

"Our team handshake. It can be one of those fist bump that turns into an explosion." I laugh pulling his fist down, and pulling his lips to mine.

That handshake was so unoriginal. "Let's work on that later." He smiles and throws an arm over my shoulder.

"Team BANDS in the Night is on a roll, Ash. Nothing is going to stop us."

I let out a sigh, "I hope not."

After the meeting...

I was the last one to exit the room and lock the door. When I turned around, Kane was standing there.

"Gee, Kane. For a big guy, you move very quietly."

"So I've been told. What are you doing?"

"Just, um, checking to see if this key works," I say holding it up.

He nods. "No clipboard today."

I ditched the clipboard the moment he lay eyes on it. Now I just checked things off in my head. "House. Yeah, I have to go. People to meet." I walked past him.

"Just one more thing Asher." I stopped but didn't turn around.

"Whatever you're planning, needs to stop. It's not going to end well for you and whoever else is involved."

Kane didn't know what was going on yet, so he bluffed. But even though he bluffed, he would figure it out eventually. Maybe not all of it, but some of it.

I turned around slowly. "Kane, I don't know what you're talking about." I had to keep my cool.

He comes closer and pats me on my shoulder. "Keep lying to me, Asher...that won't end well either." He walked away after getting the last word.

Why'd he have to be such an uncle? Whatever. No matter what, nobody was stopping me from bringing Paige down.

Nobody.

For @Ambrollins_4eva, since she suggested this double update. I hope you all enjoy.

Thank all of you for reading my book. I'm already thinking of a possible third installment.
