Mia's arms itched as she pulled on her coat, ' why did I do this again, I promised Charlotte I wouldn't do this again.'
As she pulled up to Charlotte's house Mia felt a wave of guilt crash over her and she thought about the scars that covered her wrists and legs.
Nobody else knew about Mia's self harm, they didn't need to know. They didn't deserve to know.
It was a pure accident that Charlotte found out, Mia had been taking a shower when Charlotte barged in, Mia had forgotten to lock the door, and Charlotte saw, she cried. She said "but I thought you were ok?, I- I- I- I thought that.."
"Shh it's ok Sweetheart, you didn't know, you couldn't have helped."
Seeing Char cry like that changed Mia, she made Mia promise that she wouldn't do it again and now she had broken that promise, another wave of guilt crashed over her.
She promised, to the love of her life, and she broke it.
