Two of my subjects are engineering courses so that means I'll see Jei as often, not to mention my P.E. class, too.

Wednesday came for my PE schedule. As usual, Jei was the first to greet me.

"Hey Zash! You know what? I am in a good mood today." With his high toned voice.

"No idea." I replied blankly.

"I saw Jasper by the hallway."

"And so?" I raised my eyebrow at him.

"Because he's so handsome!... he 's my crush!" giggling as he said it.

Alright. It is confirmed. He likes guys more than me...

"How about you? Do you like someone here at school?" he kept ribbing me.

Crush at school? Or anywhere else, I don't have any in mind. Oh well, aside from Brad Pitt whom I adore since I saw his movie Legends of the Fall, there's none at the moment and besides I'm too busy focusing on my studies than thinking of boys.

"They're a distraction..." I gave him a fierce look.

"No one." period.

Or perhaps because I'm too insecure about myself that nobody would like me or they think I'm one of the boys, too... because of the way I dressed and walked.

"Even one? Crush is like admiring a person not only for the reason that you like him, come on tell me" he showed no sign of giving up until he got an answer.

"Uhmm no, none, nope, zero"

Although I had someone in mind that I'm still not sure how I felt about.

Suddenly, a guy passed by leaving his masculine perfume behind... He turned around and said "Hi!"

Eric was looking at me with his full smile saying hi... Of course, Jei greeted him cheerfully and I awkwardly lifted my hand to wave hi.

Out of the blue, I could hear my heart beating... It was hard to breathe.

"Do you play table tennis, Zash?" Eric asked.

"oh ahmm yess" as I stuttered to answer.

"Since high school" I smiled back.

"So, you're good" He was fascinated with the answer.

"Not really. I mean I could play but I bet not as well as you" I retorted back.

He suddenly blushed as I teased him... my boyish personality came out. I like to tease guys and see them shy. But, at the same time, my cheeks started to burn, too... and I couldn't help smiling just by looking at him.

"Come on, let's play one on one" He went on grabbing my hand to the ping pong table.

What is this? I told myself as I felt a low voltage of electricity tingling through my hand from his hand.

Since the PE instructor just let us play freely that day, we spent 30 minutes playing with Jei occasionally filling in. Most of the time, he's just being nosy while scoring the game.

Eric was too nice not to use his full strength on me. Considering I'm a girl, I showed my competitive side on my serious face. I'm used to having male opponents. My father introduced the sport and practiced with me most of the time. He didn't go easy on me. That's how I learned the skill and earned my varsity in high school.

He was on the opposite table smiling like a fool. I was usually good at that but I was too distracted by his cute smile and glances.

Bell rang.

"Nice game. You're really good." He said while he shook my hands

"You, too." I was shying away.

Another bolt of that low frequency voltage pinched me. That feeling when you flicked your elbow's funny bone, but that time it didn't hurt, I felt happy.

Strange.
