Prologue:

"Yea, well I'm smarter than you," 5 year old Ara retorted, dusting herself off with a smirk.

5 year old Jeonghan chuckled softly, a glint of challenge in his eyes. "No, you're not."

"Alright, kids, stop playing! Time for dinner, come on now!" Ara and Seungchol's parents' voices called out, breaking the spell of their backyard banter.

Fast forward ten years, and they stood at the gates of Haneul Academy. "Ara, ready to go?" Scoups asked, appearing in her doorway with a knowing smile.

"Yeah, Oppa, let's go," Ara replied, grabbing her bag and heading out.

"Hey, wait up!" Jeonghan and Joshua called from the path leading to their house.

"Way to ruin my morning, Yoon," Ara teased, walking ahead with a playful sway.

"You mean I blessed it?" Jeonghan shot back, his tone light but eyes hinting at deeper meanings.

Their journey to school was a mix of shared laughter and unspoken challenges, their rivalry woven into every glance and word exchanged.

Their love-hate dynamic was a constant source of amusement among their friends. Joshua, the calm mediator, often found himself caught in the middle of their arguments, while Scoups, ever the protective older brother, secretly enjoyed watching his sister spar with Jeonghan.

As the school year progressed, the lines between rivalry, friendship, and perhaps even romance blurred. Ara found herself increasingly drawn to Jeonghan's wit and determination, while Jeonghan admired Ara's fierce independence and intellect.
