### Chapter 23:

After a long break, it was finally time to go back to school. This is our third and final year. "Let's go, Ara!" Scoups shouted, rushing his sister.

"Coming!" I said, hurrying down the stairs. I quickly put on my shoes, and we left the house.

"Hey guys," I greeted as we met our friends outside.

"Morning, A," Joshua said, flipping through his book.

"Morning, love," Jeonghan said, giving me a side hug and a kiss on the temple.

"Come on, lovebirds, or we'll be late," Scoups said, walking away. We smiled and held hands, making our way to school.

"I can't believe it's our senior year," I said as we walked down the hallway.

"Yeah, I know, right? Time flies," Joshua replied.

"Yup, especially with the right people," Jeonghan added, squeezing my hand lightly.

We could feel the stares and hear the whispers as Jeonghan and I walked down the hallway hand in hand. "Ara!" I turned to see Jiyeon arriving. We hugged each other.

"Ah, guess you found your lover boy, huh?" she whispered into my ear.

"Oh, shut up," I said, lightly nudging her.

"So, what's the plan for this year?" Jiyeon asked, her eyes twinkling with excitement.

"Survive finals, enjoy the last bits of high school, and make memories," I replied with a grin.

"And maybe win another bet," Jeonghan said, winking at me.

"Bet? What bet?" Jiyeon asked curiously.

"Just a little something to keep things interesting," I said, smirking at Jeonghan.

"Alright, spill," Jiyeon insisted, her curiosity piqued.

"We'll tell you later," Jeonghan said, playfully dodging the question.

As we continued down the hallway, the excitement of our final year buzzed in the air.

"Hey, did you hear about the senior trip?" Joshua asked, suddenly animated.

"No, what's the deal?" Scoups inquired, his interest piqued.

"They're taking us to a resort for a weekend as a graduation gift. It's going to be epic!" Joshua explained.

"That sounds amazing!" Jiyeon exclaimed. "We definitely have to make the most of it."

"Oh, we will," I said, feeling a surge of excitement. "I can't wait to spend an entire weekend with you guys."

Jeonghan squeezed my hand again, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Another opportunity for me to win a bet," he teased.

"You wish," I shot back, laughing.

As we entered our first class of the day, the buzz of anticipation for the year ahead filled the room.

The announcement of the senior trip to the resort spread like wildfire. Everyone was buzzing with excitement, making plans and discussing what to pack. It felt like the perfect way to celebrate our final year together.

As the departure day approached, Jiyeon and I spent countless hours planning our outfits and daydreaming about the trip. "Can you believe it? A whole weekend at a resort," Jiyeon said, practically bouncing with excitement as we packed.

"I know, right? It's going to be amazing," I replied, folding my clothes neatly into my suitcase.

"Got your swimsuit ready?" she asked with a smirk.

"Of course! And you?" I shot back, grinning.

"Definitely. This trip is going to be legendary."

The morning of the trip, everyone gathered at school, luggage in hand. The air was electric with anticipation. Scoups, Joshua, Jeonghan, and I found each other in the crowd.

"Ready for the best weekend ever?" Jeonghan asked, slinging an arm around my shoulders.

"Absolutely," I said, feeling a rush of excitement.

The bus ride to the resort was filled with laughter, music, and a lot of snacks. Jiyeon and I took selfies, capturing every moment. Jeonghan sat next to me, occasionally teasing me about the bet we had going on.

"Think you can beat me at the pool? Or maybe the karaoke contest?" he challenged, a playful glint in his eyes.

"We'll see," I replied, smirking. "Don't underestimate me, Yoon."

When we arrived at the resort, it was even more beautiful than we had imagined. The sprawling grounds, the sparkling pool, and the luxurious rooms were like a dream.

"Whoa, this place is incredible," Joshua said, taking it all in.

"Let's get our stuff to our rooms and then hit the pool," Scoups suggested.

As we settled into our rooms, I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder. This trip was going to be unforgettable. Jeonghan and I shared a room with Scoups and Joshua, which promised a lot of fun and late-night chats.

Once we were unpacked, we all met up by the pool. The sun was shining, and the water looked incredibly inviting.

"Race you to the deep end?" Jeonghan challenged, already peeling off his shirt.

"You're on," I said, diving in after him.

The water was cool and refreshing, and we spent hours swimming, playing games, and just enjoying the sun. After a while, we took a break to lounge by the pool. Jeonghan sat next to me, our legs dangling in the water.

"This is perfect," he said, leaning back on his hands.

"It really is," I agreed, feeling completely content.

Later that evening, after dinner, we gathered around a fire pit. Someone had brought a guitar, and we sang songs, told stories, and roasted marshmallows. The atmosphere was magical, with the crackling fire and the sound of waves in the distance.

Jeonghan sat close to me, his hand occasionally brushing against mine. "Hey," he said softly, turning to look at me. "I'm really glad we're here together."

"Me too," I replied, feeling a warm blush rise to my cheeks.

As the night wore on, Jeonghan leaned in closer, his eyes locking with mine. "So, about that bet... I think we both won," he said with a smile.

"How so?" I asked, curious.

"Because we're here, together, having the time of our lives," he said, his voice full of sincerity.

I smiled, realizing he was right. This trip, these moments, they were exactly what I had hoped for. "Yeah, I guess we did," I said, squeezing his hand.

As we sat there, surrounded by friends and the perfect night, I knew that this was a moment I would cherish forever. Senior year was turning out to be everything I had dreamed of and more. And with Jeonghan by my side, I couldn't wait to see what other adventures awaited us.
