'No way.. Did- did Ms. Govind just confess? She likes me-? Wait WHAT? MY CRUSH LIKES ME!?' I almost yelled out my thoughts inside the now lone room. 'But I made her angry with my actions. Abb kya karu?' I mentally cursed myself as I saw Manav join me in my lonesomeness.
"Bhai are you alright? Where is Aarohi? And what happened to you? Why are you tearing up??" Manav asked attentively as I touched my eyes. Holy crap I was actually about to cry. I was unable to form words so I decided to sit down and steady myself first.
"Akshit, are you alright? If there's anything that's bothering you then we might ask permission to leave for home early." Manav suggested, patting my shoulders to at least hear an answer from me.
"Ms. Govind confessed." The following words skipped over Manav's head as I watched his confused face. "Ms. Govind likes me and she confessed to me just some while ago, before you came." I concluded, receiving an amused yet tensed expression from him.
"Then why do you look so troubled? You should be happy that finally Aarohi and you are going to be together." Manav delivered his thoughts.
"I can't be, because 1. I made her upset with my dumbness as I couldn't understand when she was hinting that I was her special someone. 2. She is hella mad at me because of the recent canteen drama and 3. She has asked me not to show my face or talk to her unless and until it's something important." I dropped my worry with a sigh.
Manav looked at me with sympathy, stressing at my situation along with me. "Tu sach me gadha hai." He stated as I explained everything that happened a while ago. "Tana baad mein maar liyo par abb karna kya hai yeh bata." I looked at him with hopeful eyes.
(You are really dumb.
First solve my misery then you can taunt me how much you want.)
"Teri bhabhi se he puchna padega." Manav replied as we exited the room when we heard the recess bell go off.
(We'll have to ask your bhabhi only)
We entered our classroom and took our respective seats when Mr. Mehta entered with a pile of thin sheets. "Good morning everyone." Greeted the teacher. "Gooood morningggg sir" the students sang as a custom that has been followed for years in every Indian school.
"Excuse me sir, what are those?" A student asked, pointing at the pile that Mr. Mehta holds. "This paper contains every information related to your assignment and projects that you must submit after the school reopens." Mehta sir informed.
'Does that mean-' "It's the last day of school before the summer vacation so I want everyone to pay extra attention in class as this is an important concept. This topic is very useful in both boards as well as competitive exams so concentrate here. And I hope everyone practices this concept because I'm going to take a test on this after the vacation." My thoughts were interrupted by Mr. Mehta's words.
