The Hood is in prison for good, Jeff is home and the Mechanic lives with the Tracy's and helps in maintaining the Thunderbirds. Brains and the Machine and close, they have been for a while. They were often seen together in the lab, so much so that Gordon teased Brains about having a crush on the Mechanic. Brains denied this, but it was true, he did like the Machine but didn't know how to tell him. So he asked Maria for advice.

Brains: Marian, how d- do you ask someone on a date?

Marian: wait, what?! Who do you like?

Marian: is it the Mechanic? Your always hanging out with him.

Marian: Welp, guess I owe Scott 20 bucks.
