For a week things were weird between Brains and the Mechanics, until The Mechanic had enough
One evening after a long day of working and awkward silence, Brains decided to call it a day
Brains: it's l- late, I'm g- going to be-
The Mechanic forced a hand either side of Brains pinning him to the workbench
Mechanic: I'm done with this! We've been ghosting each other for a week!
Brains: ...
Brains doesn't make eye contact
Mechanic: look! Don't ignore me!
Brains: I- I...
Mechanic: Eyes. on. me!
Brains managers to look the mechanic dead in the eyes with a hint of fear
Mechanic: finally~
Brains: I d- don't know what you want m- me to say.
Mechanic: anything but silence.
Brains: ... We're very c- close right now.
Mechanic: that's not what I meant.
Scott: hey Brains can-
Scott walks into the lab but comes to a stop when he sees the two
Brains: ...
Mechanic: ...
Scott: ... The Mechanic's a top?
Mechanic: wha-?!
Scott: well, don't lete stop you.
Mechanic and Brains: Get out!
Scott Snickers before leaving the lab
The Mechanic, looking annoyed, backed away from Brains unlocked him dead in the eye with a frown not saying a word
Brains bucked up the courage to look him back in the eye...
Fun fact: I was listening to "eyes on me" by Asteria whilst writing this, hence the title.
