Chapter 2 [Genya's pov]

beep beep beep

"mhh... another five min... oh shit I have to get ready for work." I said almost making the allarm clock fall off the night table to make that annoying as hell sound stop. I eventually (and reluctantly) get out of bed and went to the small bathroom, wasn't much in it, but the basic necessities were there so I've got nothin' to complain about... for now, I'm sure as soon I'll step in that convenience store thons of costumers will give me many things to criticize. I take my phone and immediately open spotify and hit "play" and as music cheers up the mood I start singing along while brushing my hair to not look like they hired the first homeless guy you'd find on the street. I usually don't work so early in the morning since I have to go to school, but today is saturday so I think is even better if I work in the morning, most people might disagree with me, but I prefer doing my homework on the late afternoon or in the evening. As the song finishes and the advertising starts to play (I'm not paying for spotify premium.) it brings me back to reality, so I wash my face, get in my uniform -which is basically just a red shirt with a white collar and a name tag on it- put on some random jeans and grab my phone, putting on the ear phones so I don't disturb the neighborhood and after grabbing my wallet with some money and my documents inside I finally start walking to work.

I arrive like five minutes early, which is really convenient, I greet my co-worker Inosuke wich honestly should have been fired months ago, just look at how he treats customers... but we're understaffed so here he is. I also think he's one of the biggest entertainment at work, so it's okay I guess. «Hey Peony look!» and here's the umpteenth time he doesen't get my name! But since peonies are pretty flowers I'll thake it as a compliment. «It's Gen'ya, and what do you want?» I sight looking at him, today was a bit better than most other's day. He didn't foget the uniform, even tho the first 4 bottons weren't closed and tied his hair up in a ponytail leaving just the two locks of hair in front loose and he was on time! I call that an improvement. «Today the manager will be proud of me!» he basically screamed in my ears, knowing he'll loose his temper as soon as someone enters the store, but I don't complain... I mean he seems happy so why get scoled and bring his mood down? I just nod and go sit at my usual spot on the cashiers while he screams stuff like "you don't belive me uh!? JUST WATCH!", this is going to be a long ass morning isn't it. 

It hasn't been a while since the store has opened and here's that nice guy again. I easily recognize him by the way he acts and how he's dressed «Hello once again sir! Let me know if you need help with anything» I doubt he'll actually ask but it's store policy being nice to costumers, and in addition to that he comes here almost every day, rarely for groceries mostly he gets a drink and/or a snack, and he's always nice and respectful, really an interesting person in my opinion. He smiled in response, even tho I couldn't tell if it was a genuine smile or not since his hood covered his eyes, and walked towards the aile where the drinks are at. «He wouldn't survive in the mountains.» Inosuke commented «and he's strange who the fuck he wears a hoodie when is this much warm» «weren't you the one who wanted to make the manager proud? Don't comment on costumers like that» Inosuke grounted -obviously not liking my response- and crossed his arms with a bored expression. «It's not like either of them can hear me.» he mumbled and I chuckled, at least he's a fun company to be around, surely there's not a boring shift when you have a shift with Inosuke. And as he continued to mumble about stuff I personally couldn't care less to listen about my attention went back to the costumer. He had a drink in his hand and the money to pay in the other, he handed me the drink and I scanned it «your total is 348 yen» [1,99€ / 2,17$] he handed me the money and left with his drink, I turned to Inosuke -wich was still yapping- and gave him a death stare, but he didn't give a shit and continued to yap. Yep, it's going to be a long morning.
